can anyone explain how to upload a video to video hive? the help pages on  their web site are completely useless.

I understand I have to make a thumbnail, preview image, and preview video, and put it in a zip file with the video. but the help does not say anything about naming files, or where the metadata goes, etc.

please help.

Don't.
Submit your footage elsewhere, read the forums to see what are the good footage agencies. Videohive is not one of them.

Their process is the most annoying by far.

First of all, make all those components you mentioned but do NOT put them all in a zip.  Only the main file that will be downloaded by the buyer goes in the zip. Upload them all separately.

It doesn't matter what you name them.

Then when you upload them (using the web form uploader, or ftp) and go the the Upload section under your dashboard section, select "Stock footage", and then fill out all the fields as required.

Hope that helps.

Don't support a site that won't support you...
