I've been trying to add sites to the database at http://cascoly.com/symbio/symbiostock-network.asp but for many sites I get only 25 images from the images.csv -- this was a problem with an earlier symbio version but should be fixed now -- if you update your image csv (on network page) and this still happens, please report it

I'll set up another update for the changes I've done - that way nothing holds you back.

Hi steve, are you using a combjnation of my symbiocard from testing and live sites? I did submit live site but results, such as who i link to, seem to be incorrect or missing

i'm using your live site for the card, but last time I tried to upload it, the categories (you have rather a lot!) trashed the latter part of the info, so I just uploaded the info that came before;  not your fault of course, and i'll have a better way of dealing with all of this shortly.  when you upgrade to the latest version, send me an email &   i'll try again

meanwhile you should be able to add to the image database but last time I tried that your file still was from the version that cut off at 25 -- that was ffixed in 2.4.1 so you just need to generate a new images.csv file

Sorry about all the categories, I do like to be thorough, and separating out dog breeds probably has not helped but I do have quite a lot of them.  Am now on. V 2.4.2.

I'm a little confused. This is on your database page:

List Images with keyword 'nature'

List Images with keyword 'animals'

List images with keyword 'food'

But I thought we weren't supposed to use a keyword that was the same as an Image Category. Did that change in recent versions? Can I add those keywords? I added promoted keywords of which food was one, but I only see five of my images in the database. I am certain I have more than that. What do I need to do to get all my food and nature and animal photos to show up in the database?

If you change the category to [animals-2] or [animals-anything] you can have [animals] as a TAG

how you set categories is completely up to you.  it was the program reading the data that caused problems -- havd you submitted your images?  earlier you were only getting 25 submitted

that was changed awhile ago so there's no conflict between categories and keywords.

as far as # of images -- that was the problem earlier - the csv file was cutting off at 25 -- if you regen that file & submit, all your images should be listed - let me know if it's not the case

I think that someone has made this pool for searching in Symbiostck. See this -

Should i add those keywords to all my photos first before regenerating the .csv file?

Steve, I was adding more images yesterday to my site and so I thought I would try to add my full images and keywords to this database. I updated the csv on my site, then used your image and then keyword upload process. All seemed to work fine and 370 images were found in the image upload and a whole lot of keywords in the second run.

When I search for any of my images in "Symbiostock Network Images", nothing comes up for my keywords, but if I search in the "Network Keywords" box, I do see my keywords and those link nicely back to my site.

The example I was using was "bengal" - it finds 12 uses of the keyword bengal in my site, but nothing in the images. Am I using this the wrong way?

definitely add them first - as a regular procedure you should update the csv whenever you make significant changes, as there are already several programs reading these files for the latest info
