Is there any significance to the smiley face at the very bottom left of all my pages? I saw a reference to it in another thread that it might indicate a problem and was just wondering. I did not want to hijack the other thread so thought I would bring it up here for future reference for others too.

Thanks
Tim

This face comes from stats.wordpress.com. Have you activated any Wordpress statistics or what?

I have installed and activated SYXtra as well as Jetpack which has "wordpress.com stats" enabled.

It seems to be related to the browser.  I don't see it when I use Google Chrome, but I do see it when using Firefox or IE 9.

It seems to be coming from WordPress stats:

Found this from the plugin maker that will get rid of it. Add to your css.

Code: [Select]
img#wpstats{display:none;}

I cant test right now. Let me know if it works and i will try tonight.

Got this off of the wordpress support site:

If you are using the JetPack plugin or the WordPress.com Stats plugin, you will see a tiny smiley face in the footer of your WordPress site.

That is a little GIF image that is connected to the code in the stats plugin to monitor the visitor activity on your WordPress pages.

I think it's always there if you don't see it try to drag the page down and see if it shows - or increase the window size
