Three images uploaded yesterday and they haven't been reviewed yet? What's wrong with StockXpert? Are they letting inspectors rest now? :)
Regards,
Adelaide
-
They have always had fast inspection times for me. I can't remember a time when it took more than 24hrs. Perhaps this weekend was the annual inspectors party :)
-
LOL..... :D Yeah, what's going on.... took them almost 10 hours to hook me up this week... LOL StockXpert has always been fast for me... sometimes when I upload a batch, before I'm finished, the first ones are already being reviewed... go StockXpert!! Now THAT'S service!! 8)=tom
-
It has slowed down a bit I think, but StockXpert is still the fastest out there for reviews on average...
From my point of view they do a very fair job of reviewing, pretty quickly. I think I can wait a bit longer for their reviews, as I've never got a rejection there that made me go 'What the?' ;D
-
Images reviewed (and approved) today.
If only sales resumed the peak of days ago...

Adelaide

Hi all - My first post. Sounds like they're pretty quick so I'm beginning to think I missed something during the application process. It's going on 2 weeks and my status still says "Your application is pending. It will be reviewed by the site administrators within a few days." Sounds like it's time to contact support.
Paul
-
Reviews have been really weird the past few days. Over the weekend, I had one batch halfway reviewed and it wasn't completed until 36 hours later yesterday morning. Today...same thing. Two photos reviewed immediately after uploading, and now the rest are just sitting there twiddling their thumbs. Wonder if they are having server issues or something?
-
The main application reviewer was away for the past two weeks, so it has slowed down some. Don't worry. We're on it. :)
Karimala, you should contact support about this. Not sure what the issue may be.
Thanks!
-Steve
-
Thanks, Steve! I'll do that since I'm having the same problem again with new batches.
-
Reviews have been really weird the past few days. ... and now the rest are just sitting there twiddling their thumbs. ...
The same thing recently happened to me. I emailed customer support, and the images were reviewed within a few hours.
-
Well my backlog was cleared at StockXpert with expected results
whole screens of "we are not looking for such images that this time" I think the acceptance rate was less than 10% for about 50 images. A pity as some of these unwanted images have been downloaded several times at SS already.
-
Well my backlog was cleared at StockXpert with expected results
Why not repost them after the main reviewer is back on the job and the backlog has been cleared?
-
I suspect the main reviewer is back on their job and they were never too keen on my illustrations.
-
Speaking for illustrators, I have experienced no significant slow-down in reviews of vectors at StockXpert. The reviewers' standards are high, but the rejection reasons always make sense. Sunrise does a great job!!!
-
That's strange. Reviews used to happen with a few hours. Haven't had a review since Monday - or a sale since Tuesday
-
Same here .. Now for 5 days waiting. It was the fastest reviews
-
5 days seems too long. Have you informed support? I uploaded some last night and they were reviewed overnight. This is my best month for sales.
-
I have one submission from Friday, one from Saturday and two from yesterday in the waiting queue. Quite unusual for StockXpert.
Regards,
Adelaide

Wow, mine have been in cue since starting early last week.
-
Mine have been running 5+ days. Sales have dropped off also.
-
I've got Friday, Saturday & Sunday uploads in there.
I'm going to sit on things until the problem (if there is one) gets sorted out.
-
my oldest submission have been in the que 5+days
I know reviews have slowed down but this is very unusual
-

Hey, my stuff's all been approved ... I should have written about it earlier!

mine are still there in the pending que:( but it's good to know there are some reviewers working:)
-
Mine are still pending (yawn!!)
Regards,

-
This is the longest it's ever taken StockXpert to review my images. My oldest still waiting is 5 days old. I have to say generally they review the fastest of any site. Sales have been pretty average for me.
Glad to hear some people are getting stuff reviewed. I'm sure they'll get to mine soon!
-
All images were reviewed today, even those uplaoded yesterday.
I hope things are back to normal! At least sales are still there!!
Regards,
Adelaide
-
I have pictures from Aug 19 still pending ... Time to get used to longer approval times at StockXpert?
-
I still get reviewed in less than 24 hours... and sometimes while I'm still uploading... I wonder, how large a batch are you folks uploading where it's taking days to review? I only upload a few ( 3-5 in a batch) at a time. Maybe that has something to do with it??? -tom
-
I wonder, how large a batch are you folks uploading where it's taking days to review?
I only upload 2-5 pictures a week, so batch size doesn't seem to matter ...
-
I have 13 in cue since beginning the 16th. Likely 4 or 5 batches.
-
I have 25 there for about 10 days now.
-
Mine got reviewed! Took about 6 days. Thanks StockXpert ;D

"StockXpert is hiring!
We're looking for someone to join our image review team. As the member of the team the candidate will be in charge of inspecting new uploads (quality, composition and metadata) and communicating with contributors if necessary.
The ideal candidate has
- many great photos on StockXpert..."
Guess they are a little short-handed in the photo-reviewers department.
-
Yeah. We're getting bombarded with submissions. Don't worry. We're going to be adding more reviewers shortly. Hiring and training takes a little bit of time.
Just a slight growing pain. That's all. :)
-Steve
-
Number of contributing photographers has jumped from about 3,000 to about 3,200 since I last looked about a month ago.
-
How is everyone doing now with review times? I have a batch that has been waiting 8 days (submitted 8/18). It just seems strange since they are usually reviewed so quickly.
-
Mine go back to the 16th. One reviewer on vacation causes this kind of backlog. If it was my company, that would be a bit scary.
-
Still waiting too...
-
Once the fastest, now the slowest review times ... That's a bit annoying, but at least the sales are doing well.
-
Still waiting to get my images online (posted 19th this month..). So review times are now very slow.
-
Sales have slowed there for me. Don't know if it's because no recent images due to review times.
I'd rather they take their time than give me a bunch of 'sorry we are not looking for such images now'
They could clear the whole review cue in a few minutes with that one.
-
Sales are not so bad for my standards, by reviews are still in delay.
Regards,
Adelaide
-
Lately my sales at StockXpert have been mirroring my approval waiting time ... horrible.
Oh where, oh where has my StockXpert gone,
Oh where, oh where can it be?
With its wait times cut short and its sales growing large,
Oh where, oh where can it be?
-
I didn't know your were a poet Sharply :)
But I can definetely sing the same song...
-
I'm singing too......
-
Now 13 days........
I am still uploading, but getting concerned - this is such a huge change from the speed we are used to with StockXpert.
-
You may want to email customer support, hatman12 - I just had 5 batches approved after waiting since Friday.
... off I go, uploading to StockXpert awaits!
-
12 days for me. My first batch ever - pretty disheartening! First impression: not so great.
-
I already dropped a quite note to Peter, sharply, and he sent me a reassuring reply.
I'm a little concerned to hear that yours have been approved and mine haven't been looked at yet - perhaps there's an allocation procedure and mine are allocated to the guy who's off sick/on hols or whatever.
-
Got all of mine reviewed today :)
-
Yes, so did I (at long last). 41 images, 100% acceptance.
-
well let's hope they start chewing that queue.
I've 350 images in it, meaning 7 days op uploads. Still 8 days to go ;D
-

350 images in the queue? Yikes, I need to get off my butt. :-)

we've had 24 up there for a week...... ummmmm
-
12 days for me. My first batch ever - pretty disheartening! First impression: not so great.
I'll second that on both counts. I believe mine were uploaded on the 17th. Can't tell how sales are since I don't have any images active. :'(
-
... Can't tell how sales are since I don't have any images active. :'(
My sales have been terrible there for the last 12 days - down at least 60%.
-
Terrible review times but great sales :)
-
My best month there so far and I haven't uploaded as much as usual this month.
-
The good news is a second portion of my batch from the 18th has finally been reviewed (one portion had been reviewed within hours). The bad news is almost all were rejected plus they missed one.
-
Yeah, I posted on their forum. I'm 17 days out now, but I don't want all of them rejected for 'thanks, but we don't need' crap. We now know that there is one person that does almost all reviews and they were gone for two weeks. Rejecting everything is the easiest way to get caught up and from posts I have seen that is what is happening.
I'd rather wait than have 2-3 weeks work thrown out.
-
LOL. I don't think they are rejecting. All of mine were approved, but I only about had about 18 waiting. And I'm pretty accustomed to rejections.
I don't understand when agencies grabb everything you've uploaded at once, rather than doing it in sequence of the batches that come in.. but oh well - there must be a reason.
-
I got an orange dot storm on StockXpert (all saying thank we are not looking for such image)so I don't think I will be uploading until things gone back to normal...
-
It's been over a week for me in some photos. :(
Regards,
Adelaide
-
pfff ... 500 in the line (10 days) ... still none approved.
-
16 day´s for me!
-
all 573 were approved today ;D .. let the games begin
-
all 573 were approved today ;D .. let the games begin
Awesome & congrats !! - I've already had 5 DL's today at StockXpert with a much smaller port than your 573 new images. I think you will have some good sales once your images start appearing in the search defaults!!
Good luck ;D
-
Perrush,
Nice images. I see you don't have Extended Licensing enabled. Not sure if this is on purpose. Some people simply miss this option, so I thought I'd point it out.
-Steve
-
After 13 days, images were reviewed (and approved!)
Sales are doing well for me and if they keep the current trend it may be my BME there (knock on wood!)

I have Extended Licensing enabled but haven't had one yet. I get them on other sites, so find this a bit strange. Hope it is just a quirk and my EL's with StockXpert catch up with the other sites. Can't complain about the other sales, StockXpert are great.
-

Tnx steve for pointing this out. Although I had just enabled it them myself :D
-
all 573 were approved today ;D .. let the games begin
Wow, a 100% approval rate on 573 images ... that's quite something.
Way to go Perrush, I hope your sales are equally fantastic!
-
I have batches going back to the 19th with un-reviewed images in them, but I have rejectons as late as yesterday. My last approval is before this. In each day's batch spanning 2+ weeks, there are one or two rejections with the rest still greyed out, and every single rejection is the same, 'please improve cropping.' IN some cases, the cropping could be subjective, but in others it looks pretty arbitrary. If I have a subject in the middle of a neutral field, it's not a cropping problem. Composition and cropping aren't necessarily the same thing.
I hope somone is actually looking at these and not just trying to clear the que in a hurry. I've never had partial batches reviewed before, and now I have dozens.
This doesn't look right.
-
Partial reviews of batches ... that's bizarre. I just checked my StockXpert submissions to see if I had any partial reviews ... nope.
-
Never.... seen it like this. I usually have less than 24 hours review... even down to the first pic in a batch is reviewed while I'm still uploading others. Really slow... maybe it is the height of vacation season at StockXpert.?? 8)-tom
-
Reviewers may be away somewhere, but buyers are not. Great sales for me today - 6, a record for me (my standards are low, I know).
Regards,
Adelaide
-
I also am having a good day as far as sales go! :)
-
Yep a good sales day yesterday and image got reviewed within less than 24h. Seem to come and go together.
-
I still have images to review since 20 of august! And my sell are the same...stop :(
-

well, first day -> no sales ...
-
correction : first sale arrived -> $1.5 :)

Congrats! Seems you have a few more too.
-
Congrats! Seems you have a few more too.
yeah, last time I checked it were 8 for $7 ;D .. seems is was a good choice to take StockXpert into my submitting list :P
-
Re: "Yep a good sales day yesterday and image got reviewed within less than 24h. Seem to come and go together."
Well, mine have been waiting for over a week now, and I don't like to see others get theirs approved faster. I realize I may not be the busiest or best photographer on site but this bugs me.
-
Steve-oh,
Sales are rocking, what happened? Any new strategy?
Regards,
Adelaide
-
we have had a bunch up there waiting to be reviewed for quiet a while.... weeks- some from sept. 1st others from the 5th
also sales have slowed for us completely- to a dribble-
we were selling 1 or 2 a day and now it's like one a week.
maybe we should email support with this, because it sounds like everyone else is all caught up and things are going fab-o...... ::)
-
Hum...
126 pictures waiting since 20 days, and yesterday only 7 be reviewed !!! ???
Only one sale in a week, sales drop dramatically also for me, what happen?
-
I have some that haven't been reviewed for about a week but sales are good, so they can take as long as they like.
-
Glad to hear sales are strong for some of you. Overall revenue continues to climb.
We just hired another reviewer, so that should help move things along soon. I think we will be hiring one more as well. We also have the JI editors pitching in when time allows.
Just know that your images are not being ignored. We're working on it.
Thanks again for your patience and very sorry for the delay. Wish I had one of those easy buttons right about now. :)
-Steve
-
Thank you for the update Steve,
But I see some photos uploaded on 10th of sept and they are already approved while I have many files awaiting since sept the first.
I hope review is done by upload date, which I think fairest way.
btw I am happy with sales too.
regards
-
This is my 19th day, still waiting...
-

yeah, thanks for the update, and for your input on this site in general. I know lots of people who appreciates your input.
-
23 days..no reviews or sales...really sad since StockXpert was on clip to be the best month in August. Now its just turned to crickets in reviews and sales (sigh)...
...and Leaf's right...thanks SteveOh for at least being visible.
-
23 days without a sale? Wow.
-
23 days..no reviews or sales...
and some contributers(no offence intended) lucky enough to get their files reviewed within a day.
if you go to new images date descending you will see some images that was upload on 11th of sept.
I am sorry but this doesn't sound very professional to me.
I hope things will go back to normal soon
-
A folder with 11 images uploaded on the 23rd of August. 4 were approved within 24 hours and 7 images still sit pending along with anything uploaded since then.
StockXpert has overtaken Lucky Oliver for last place on my list!
-
OK lesson learned! Overnight my folders were all cleared, but the reviewer (obviously a reader here!) found a new reason for rejections.. "upload better pictures" ...hmmm, same images already selling on SS & ISP ... oh well, not the place for sport I guess.
Also now require a model release for feet and legs, but the whole back of someone is fine.
I started this whole project into microstock as a personal learning exercise.. days like today only make me shake my head at the whole lot.
Off to shoot better pictures!
-
This is starting to look weird. I've uploaded on a more or less daily basis recently, but nothing has been reviewed at StockXpert since 26 August. I have almost 80 photos in the queue, and for those uploaded yesterday, no thumbnails/previews have been generated.
Sales at StockXpert are picking up though :)

I have a folder full of grab shots from various soccer games. (No releases of course). I've had time to touch up 4 or 5 of them. FYI, this week StockXpert took 1 of 4 of mine, didn't want the rest - legs kicking soccer ball, etc.
Remember JC-SL we had a thread about all the cloning required for sports. I don't imagine I will get back to that grab-shots folder until I'm caught up with everything else! Maybe next summer I'll go straight to the parents, "Hey, who wants a free 8x10 of their kid? Just sign this!" which might make all that cloning a little more rewarding.
-
Thanks Pixart! Unfortunately...this is all I shoot day in and out... so they are my firsts. UGH!
Oh well...
-
Hi JC-SL (and others),
Yes. Just because a person's face is not visible does not mean they are not identifiable. As microstock matures and becomes more prevalent in mainstream usage, we are going to be a bit more strict when it comes to model releases.
Even though faces weren't visible in many of your shots, runners still had numbers on them, and there were other contextual visual clues that could easily make a person identifiable.
Thanks!
-Steve
-
I've had several images up for review for about 5 days. Slower than normal, since they are training new people. However, I have also noticed that my images have been selling quite nicely in the last month or so. A big change. They are now my # 4 site, behind IS, SS, and DT. Keep up the good work StockXpert!
-
it is sad to see still some are treated differently in there ,some photos uploaded on 14th is already accepted while tons of images have been in the que:(
-
I was out about 18 days until tonight. All reviewed to yesterday. Unfortunately, my acceptance went from bad to worse. Glad when things are back to normal.
-
Thanks for the response Steve-oh.. my laughter came at images with just feet and legs ( BTW, I always change the bib numbers) being rejected needing MR's but full body shots...and easily more identifiable shots being accepted without an issue.
Just keeps me guessing... which is part of the fun, right?
cheers.
-
noticed some photos uploaded on 16th sept and approved.I also noticed older submissions of the same contributer are just on line too, which gave me the impression of that reviewers go trough the process per contributer rather than upload date which doesn't sound the best way to me.
Although this concern has been raised many times and Steve kindly said he would pass the message to reviewers.I am sorry but they don't seem to care.
it really upsets me seeing this still happening as a contributer who has always appreciated professional approach of StockXpert and all the efforts they have been putting on the site.
-
Have to agree this is how it is being handled. I had 80+ spread over 18 days reviewed within a few hours on Friday. Nothing since then, so if they review by contributer, by the time they get back around to me, there will be a backlog again.
-
I still keep having only partial batches reviewed. Some were reviewed last night, but one was leftover from a batch uploaded August 28th and partially reviewed the first week of September. This poor photo has now been skipped over twice. Same thing is happening with a batch uploaded September 3...only part of the batch was reviewed.
Ugh. This is getting frustrating. It would be nice to have the entire batch reviewed all at once instead of waiting until the next time they get around to it. I did e-mail support a while back, but I don't think they understood there is more going on with my batches than just delays from understaffing. There seems to be a legitimate bug, at least with mine.
-
Frustrating, isn't it?
-
I got mines reviewed and got loads of rejections.rejected ones were approved elsewhere including IS. This is rather disappointing
