Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore, at least on Windows10 x32. Have to use old version. :-\

Yes, 32-bit versions are not supported since Xpiks 1.5.3 (current version is 1.5.5). There's lots of work to create release for all these separate unpopular platforms (like old Windows versions, 32-bit Windows etc.) so in the end I gave up and only support type of systems that majority uses.

I fully understand and I am grateful for all your work.
But having clear information on download page about versions been supported (or not) could be useful and easy to do.

Hey folks, any plans to add the ability to assign agency categories in the upload process? This is the one and only blocker for me to use the app.

Hey. So far categories are not standarized as other metadata in files so Xpiks will not be able to add categories to artworks that all microstocks will be able to read. However, we plan to add categories when Xpiks will be able to not only upload, but also submit artworks.

Hi, i'm having issues with keywording my footage with xpiks. It works perfectly for my photos but when it comes to videos, although i save metadata i doesn't show up when i right click the footage file and check the details. Keywords section is just empty. Thus shutterstock and i stock couldn't read the metadata. (however xpiks itself, adobe stock and pond5 manage to read keywords titles etc.)
What would be the possible solution?

Hi. I replied to you in Xpiks support but you sent again the same question there

Copying the reply

Most microstocks cannot read video metadata as of now. That's why they invented this whole thing with a separate CSV file that contains the metadata. You can read an example how to do it for Shutterstock here: https://xpiksapp.com/blog/2019/how-to-upload-video-shutterstock/

Best regards

Thanks, but sorry i didn't receive any email from xpiks support. I want to ask another. I want to keyword in xpiks but submit in stocksubmitter. So can stock submitter read the cvs file? I have tried but couldn't manage it. I'm also wandering if that cvs works for istock too?

Honestly what the h*** are you doing? Freepik? seriously, have you not read anything about them and their history in this forum?

I'm not going through it all again, but I clicked on this thread to look into what Xpiks was about, and if you are promoting Freepik as a "less popular microstock worth your time" I am not interested in having anything to do with you either.

Actually not. Can you enlighten me?

(also - it's not promotion, it's just a collection of less popular microstocks, just as the title says)

But it is, it's a referral link and they are top of your list, the text reads 100% like a promotion. How is this not the very definition of a promotion?

You can just do a search of this forum for information about them, there are multiple threads and they all end the same way, why would you promote them without researching them first?

Well, give person a hammer and everything will be like a nail. If you want to see there a promotion, you will. It will not even matter that it's a list of like almost all barely alive microstocks of "second tier", just your narrow vision only captured the first one. Following your logic and definitions, I also promote all these 10 and also 10 more in the first part of the blogpost (the "first tier") where I seem to recommend to register at each microstock.

I did the search on this forum and found a thread where you commented and I'm sorry about what happened. But I did an overview of microstocks with more technical details (selling, payments, upload), not contributor problems that in my opinion had place at almost any microstock at some time. If you even look how many people were banned for nothing on Shutterstock and how many more are blindly copying other people's works and succeed in selling those, everybody should just hate SS and never "promote" it.

So please stop accusing me of something that has nothing to do with reality. I don't express any political opinion in blogposts or specifically support this or another microstock.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change to stop the Add Files option defaulting to my 'Picture' folder on a Mac? I have to navigate each time to my 'Stock' folder, and I'd like to set this either as the default or for the app to automatically go to the last used location.

Hi KuriousKat

Thanks for your feedback. The functionality you request is already implemented and will be available in new Xpiks release that is going to be published in September. Currently in version 1.5.5.9 (latest Xpiks release) it is impossible to do that.

OK, great! Thanks for letting me know.

I've only just started using Xpiks, and I really like it but haven't figured out how to use it for Alamy? Does it work, and do I need to create separate options for commercial, editorial, vector, etc?
