Today for the first time ever I had a 3 digit sale - those do exists :)

Nice.

Also interesting is Council Bluffs likes some of my images too? It's a repeating location.

I had a sub to Wile E. Coyote yesterday Acme, United States $0.13 11/16/2022

Best of this month: Elk Grove, United States    $40.50    11/4/2022

Well done.

And I just want to say, for any disbelievers, I have seen another video commission from SS as large as Pace's.
To believe or not to believe is a personal matter, as in religion, the church. But a link to a screenshot of the income from the SS would be the best confirmation.
But all this is not very important, it is enough that we saw at least one screenshot in this thread. Previously, such income was only on the getty, but now the unprofitable SS has shown such income. All this is extremely strange and not fair. Most of the creators suffer from a lack of sales, and someone gets $ 800 for one video. SS breaks another bottom!

Have you seen Pace's port? I am guessing not, otherwise you wouldn't be saying things like this.

Same as the other guy I mentioned above, who is a filmmaker, has an IMBD bio, has his own production company, years of experience and expertise, and sells some of his surplus work on stock agencies.

I have tried duplicating the quality of some of these drone videos, (Zero Talent's videos included), and it takes top quality equipment, expert drone mastery, and great editing. Its very hard to do. That's why I am in awe of these guys.

Times have changed in the stock imagery industry. Mediocre and below quality work just doesn't cut it anymore to consistently earn the big dollars.

Thanks, Annie!
I would only want to add that when it comes to video editing, the most challenging and time-consuming activity, is not the shooting itself (that's a lot of fun, actually), nor the color grading. It's dealing with signs and billboards. In my experience, making a clip compatible with commercial requirements is significantly increasing its odds to attract big sales.

And all the best to Nick. Fast recovery!

Thanks Zero. I'm actually a bit blown away by all the kind thoughts and well wishes we received. Thanks again.

And yes! I forgot about all that extra work you do to remove trademarks, advertising, etc. As I said above, these types of royalties are typically for movies or big ad campaigns.

Removing trademarks or fixing blemishes in a moving video is painstaking work. Been there, done that. Not to be taken for granted.

(My husband Nick has been sick. He woke up one morning with the lefthand side of his face paralysed. It was such a shock - he only recently turned 50yo. But fortunately it wasnt a stroke. He has Bells Palsy.

Annie, I am sorry to hear this. I really hope that this condition is temporary and that he can recover soon.

Thanks sweetie. Very kind of you to reply. Hope everything is ok on KI. No storm damage or flooding. We're ok here, no damage.

Good to hear that you haven't had any storm damage. It's been a crazy year with so much rain. Like an extended winter. No storm damage locally on KI. I only recently discovered a new waterfall here which looked amazing after heavy rain fall. I photographed it the old fashioned way on medium format film with a twin lens reflex.

I just got $140 from a sale, today.
But not for a clip! For a photo!  :o
This makes it my highest individual photo sale on SS.

Congratulations!

I can remember a beautiful day when I sold two photos for $125 each. But I did not have 140 yet.

I had a sub to Wile E. Coyote yesterday Acme, United States

Out of curiosity, did the image happen to be of a road runner?

I can't see anymore but it might have been this one?

I don't have any anvils, rockets, or explosives.

How do you create such a display of statistics in your account? At the beginning, the amount, then the date, and it's all there. Or did you write the amount, date and make a screen yourself? This is how sales are not displayed in my account - the amount and the date next to it.
Make another screen where it will be clear that this is really a screenshot from the shutterstock account.
Yes, and I don't know of any such deductions now. For 4K? They would also provide a screenshot of the video.

For those of us residing on Planet Earth there is. Your results from wherever you are, might vary.

See that map? Look on the right side.  ::) (I removed numbers and the images sold)

Why do I bother?

A thread for all your positive SS news and big-ish sales! I'll start... after a pretty poor summer, sales are back up to around the $200/$300 a month mark (I only have 292 videos there), and here's a pretty decent one from the end of October.

I think I just got an early Christmas gift.

SS sale: Ashburn, United States $150.00 12/9/2022 - that's an image, not a video.

I got the old screen in the morning, next login it was back to the atrocity screen.
