I've had only 5% of normal Sunday sales so far, so I checked my sales for all the Sundays in May. And I noticed that Sunday sales were always worse than Saturdays, while it was the other way around all the time. I usually earned twice as much on Sunday compared to Saturday. That being said, my sales are record high this month already, but due to lack of SODs and more evidently, ELs (just 1 so far!), it looks like it's going to be a 2nd BME although sales numbers are telling a different story. RPD is down, although I've had a BME for ODs already approx 5 days ago.

May is typically my third worst month of the year, despite the 31 day length. I am aware that my portfolio is built for summer and autumn performance, but I have seen enough complaints about May over the last 5 years to convince me that this is typical for many contributors.

But why only Sundays? :) It doesn't really make any sense. Did anyone else notice that particular pattern? It's only my 3rd May of selling MS, so I can't really comment on the performance, however it has always been a good (not the best) month for me. But I don't think that is really realistic, since my sales are growing all the time (I am relatively new with a small port) and it's only logical autumn months are always gonna beat May by a large margin.

I'm not surprised, it's a major holiday weekend in a bunch of European countries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentecost)

Major? I've never heard of it. But as your link states, it's celebrated in the UK. I doubt this holiday could be affecting today's sales in such a big way, not even the labour day on the 1st of May did

In Germany its called Pfingsten and is a major holiday, the schools are off for two weeks and families head south for sun and fun . . . . .

The summer school vacation time is only 6 weeks long here . . . .

It's a hokiday in all european catholic countries as far as i know. Here ins Austria as well as in Slovenia, Croatia, Switzerland etc. we have Holidays till Tue./Wed.. Most people see it as European Spring break and go to the Beaches to Party etc.

Memorial Day Weekend in the US too. So I would expect sales to be a little slow here too.

Oh no, I can't even count on ELs or increased sales to reach a BME at SS. Or overall :(

Just for clarity - nothing at all happening in the UK this weekend (holiday/celebration wise). Be prepared though: Monday and Tuesday next week (4/5 June) are public holidays in the UK this year (Diamond Jubilee of the Queen). Lots of street parties and events planned over that four day period so expect a drop in UK sales. Regards, David.

Oh dear.  Sounds like the last few days of May are not going to be big sellers that rescue the month for me.  I was prepared for low US sales on Monday because of Memorial Day, but did not realize most of Europe was celebrating this week too.

No biggie.  Time to get out and enjoy the great weather.  Have fun everyone! :)

Well it's easy for a low volume player to see sales going only up, you get a dozen more sales in June, and it's a BME (again) :P . I hope you know I'm joking, but in a way you're a beginner with that site, so it does apply ;)

I'm having a great month at SS.  Just mentioning it so you know the downward trend isn't universal.  I am very sorry to hear others are having a bad month though, and hope it picks up for you all next month.  (Maybe you'll all have a great June and mine will be terrible!)
