Few moments of pure relief when the old dashboard re-appeared on my phone.

Didn't last long before the horrendous jungle was back again.

I don't know why Shutterstock feels the need for gimmicky changes in contributor portal layout. It's like, all layout changes in past 5 or even 10 years were made with new photographers and hobby contributors in mind.

I already receive Shot List in email newsletter. Why force it on top of contributor page as well?

Where are my earnings? I want my latest earnings.

It's almost like they want to de-emphasize your latest earnings with the small font.

The design is good because it fulfills the function they want, hide the daily sales and focus on the annual total. It is the prelude to new reductions in royalties.

Today I see my first $0,04 sale. Wasn't there a minimum of 0.10?

just got "upgraded".  This is totally unreadable.

Soon we will have to pay a subscription to have a suitable dashboard to follow their logic

The user interface is terrible. I also like to see the sales first, which of corse is most interesting.

The shot list is the least I need to know - and it takes up most of the page.

They need photos, it's funny to see how they keep thinking only of them. They have not realized that this relationship is broken.

The shot list is interesting but hardly vital. As a practical matter, I shoot whatever catches my eye.

I usually check my stats more than once a day. Now I only see a Shutterstock blog page for a dashboard. My stats are hidden. I have to scroll around to see if my recent uploaded files,.. I mean my  "+Add's",  have been reviewed or not. Totally unusable except to hide sales information from contributors. In that way it is a success!

Useless and ugly are two more U's that come to mind.

I think the blog comment is the right answer. They want to create the touchy feely community feel agencies were going for back in the early 2000s.

Problem is that back then the agencies also treated us like human beings. They paid much better, would have actual relationships with their contributors (reply to messages on forums, give reasons for rejections, all that stuff). Now its a gig-economy-grind-culture nightmare and they expect to be able to rekindle the relationship by handing the back end to a designer with the give it a nice community feel.

Well sorry, **** you. You cant bring in hired gun to **** our commissions back to the stone age and expect us to spend time hanging out on your platform reading your ****. Just give us the facts we need to do our job front and center and **** off. No one likes you or wants to hang out with you SS, we tolerate you to pay our bills.

I agree with you, unfortunately, it will not change, it'll only get worse... We're a very small wheel in a large machine at this point. :(

No wonder they got rid of the forum, it would be filled with threads about how useless this new update is.

Erm I too have the new dashboard. You can't see how much they owe you. Literally nowhere. You can see monthly downloads etc but not total since last payout. Vanished. And how can you tell if you reach payout. what. Most of it is them pushing their crap at you. They are complete hemorrhoids.

Upper right hand corner "Unpaid Earnings"

Here's a trick, another broken part of the new pages. Go to Earnings, now you have to click it again to see Earnings Summary, and then it's just numbers, but if you click the date, it finally shows Subscriptions, but not the rest, you have to click each column individually to finally see what sold. Waste of time.

But wait! If you click the back arrow instead of the X in the upper right, here's the page you get. And it's dead, no data, no images, no exit, no nothing. Then you can hit the forward arrow and get a Earnings Page with no data. Wow nice going SSTK. Don't they ever look at what they coded, before making it live?

Screen Capture.

No wonder they got rid of the forum, it would be filled with threads about how useless this new update is.

Every time they do something stupid, it would be exposed on the forum. The final was the 10 and the reset, which still took months to take action and kill the whole thing. All it would have taken was moderation? Remember the spam attack. Yes while the forum was good for sharing, between contributors, it exposed too much of the truth.

Nope. No unpaid earnings anywhere. Monthly etc. But no unpaid earnings anywhere. If you mean on the front page that loads where most of it is their crap like in Firns screen grabs? If so it's not on that page. If you mean clicking on something to see it then no. Nowhere thee either. I'm viewing on a mobile but have selected desktop site. It reloads but nothing chmages.

I don't understand the map thing. What do I care in which country my stuff gets sold? It's ever changing so it doesn't do anything statistically, it's not useful for any market research...at best it's just a visual gimmick used as dashboard filler.

It is one of the most useful functions they had. When I still had an account there, I loved that feature.

If you do an Octoberfest image or video series and then see your images sell a lot in Brasil or the USA then I can do my next shootings with these countries in mind.

If I see my christmas cards, or cards of a certain type selling mostly in Japan, then I can analyse the series and try to create something more specific for that market. Or maybe hire Japanese students to model for the next shoot.

It is incredibly useful and I wish more agencies had it.

istock/Getty always tell you which country your files sold in, but the cute map was a great visual cue.

Looks like things are getting worse at Shutterstock and they are making it more difficult for artists to create targeted content.

I wonder what they will do to pond5.

At least it still has a forum.

Can anyone else not see their unpaid earnings anywhere. The only way I can do it at present is total earnings minus payouts. Which I've screen grabbed in case that too vanishes. But nowhere. Not on mobile anyway.

Your unpaid earnings are shown in the upper right corner of your screen, pretty much "outside" of your dashboard and hard to notice. On the mobile version they are completely gone. Because, apparently Shutterstock thinks your earnings are not even important enough to be displayed at all.....

Sometimes I have to wait for like 5 secs for the earnings to show up in the upper right corner.

You're a star thank you. Rarely look at it on the computer as its ... over there and not here. Brilliant aren't they. I've selected view desktop site and usually that works but lol oh * not here in SS land.

Thanks also flywing.

Ah ha! I found a back door. Kinda

Right if you're using mobile version go to your top earners. See all top earners where you can view your top earners and see keywords used. Unpaid earnings is also at the top right of that. Clearly visible.

Screen grabbed lol.

Thanks again folks
