Here, closing in on level 3. Not that level 1 or 2 make much of a difference really. Most sales are for $0.10 either way.

I'm level 3 since a couple of days, but it's slower than last year...

Yes, that's what it looks like, $5 so far today, almost all $0.10 and an impressive SOD for $1.17 - that's about it. But even at level 5, the bulk of the downloads were for $0.10. The levels aren't relevant as long as no big SODs come in - and those are now rarer than a volcanic eruption.

Just think about how much more motivated you would be if you could have this race every month instead of just starting each year.

I just looked it up and suprisingly I reached level 2 on the exact same date in 23 than in 22 and last year I reached level 3 on the 13th and it looks like it will be exactly the same date that I will reach level 3 this year.

Can you see somewhere in the dashboard when you reached which level last year? Or have you made a note of it?

No, but Shutterstock sends me a mail whenever I reach a new level, I just looked up the date of last year's mails.

Been to Germany a few weeks ago, there are recycling machines at the super market, you insert one empty plastic bottle and out comes 25 cents, euro 25 cents.

Lucky. In the USA its 5 cents, and even then its only certain states. Except Michigan, where its 10 cents, but unless you can steal a large van loaded with cans to make the trip, its not worth it.

Lol, really? That's actually a Kramer/Newman idea in one of the Seinfeld episodes.  ;D

Yes, but it's a deposit system. When you buy a drink in a bottle you have to pay the 25 cents on top fo the price of the drink. So you are only getting back money you had to pay before.

Do You think it is different in US ?

it's the same

Oregon passed the first 'bottle bill' in 1971. you pay a deposit & get a refund on return. in Seattle we've had curbside recycling since the mid 80s and it's now mandatory for single family houses& many commercial.   we also have yardwaste (anything compostable) recycling. since 2015, you can no longer put food and compostable paper, including food-soiled pizza boxes, paper napkins, and paper towels, in the garbage. (there's a 10% sloppage before a $1 fine/incident is imposed - ie, basically none). but garbage rates go from$25/wk for 12 gallon bin to $80/wk for 64 gal.  with recycling my garbage fills only 1/2 the smallest bin, so recycling pays.

Recycling is free, (effectively those who don't recycle are still helping to pay for the system thru ), yardwaste  is $10-14/wk
