Folk also say that with only a small portion of the files they have at IS, they make more at SS. I am not so sure. It's early days for me but at only 5 sales (total of $1.25) so far it isn't going to pay the bills. One image sale at IS is much more than this, even as nonexclusive. The jury is still out.

One nice touch at SS is the map telling you where the buyers are from. I like that.

This entire thread is disheartening.  We all see things from such different perspectives -- and not totally unbiased perspectives.
I really like SS and am trying to build a decent portfolio.  I've also been trying to build a portfolio at iS, much less successfully.  I can not offer an unbiased opinion.  I'm influenced by all the negative iS publicity.  I'm not seeing the "much more than this, even as nonexclusive" sales at iS; my largest sale in the last month was 22 cents.

I am not and will not criticize anyone for being Exclusive at iS.  It works for those who have expended the effort.  That is what I find disheartening, Hergs.  I hope Exclusives are not being overly influenced by all "the grass is greener" comments.  I'm not so sure they are unbiased comments.

I think you may succeed as nonexclusive but you will have to start from where you were before being exclusive ... with even more intense effort than before.

Painful decision; glad I'm not having to make it.

PS:  If what seems to be an effort by iS to push we lesser nonexclusive contributors to TS, I will decide to get out.   :-\

But I was hardly selling any images as exclusive so I won't really notice a drop. I mainly sell audio SFX files at IS which is my main income. I used to sell loads of images at IS but that changed. Also, having images accepted was like trying to crack the enigma code. having said that I think having your images spread over lots of baskets instead of one is a no brainer. It's just I thought there was more $ for each sale at SS. It's Monday (A week day) and getting into mid Jan. Things should be picking up by now.

I'm slightly confused about that sentence.  ???
iStock said a while back that all nonexclusive images must be mirrored on TS and AFAIK, photos.com.
There seems, from what I read here, to be some sort of holdup on it, and files are only getting there slowly, slowly; but they have made it clear that all nonexclusive files must go also to the Partner Program.

It looks like all your files are already there, am I missing something?

Not sure?  Maybe my post wasn't clear?
I realize my files are on TS and have been for some time.  The concern is the recent lack of sales on iS.  Will my files be sold ONLY at TS?
