Hi,
do you have any idea how can I avoid having my files accepted on weekend?
It's so frustrating...

There's no way to guarantee avoiding it, but it's worth checking the SS forums before uploading to see if there are any threads on current review times.

With current review times taking almost a week, the best way to avoid weekend acceptance is uploading during weekend...

However, I am not sure it (still) matters; gone are the times when new files started being downloaded soon after being accepted

Just upload when you feel like it- don't over analysis things like the so called Monday morning evil reviewer.  If you listen to all the stuff out there you would up loading only on a full blue moon that occurs every three to fours years... :-X

The OP has a point though. With over 15000 photos accepted every week, you need the most favourable time of your photos to hit the market. Monday morning would be best, but avoiding the weekend is the least you can do otherwise they are covered by many more come Monday morning. Since the review times are now between 5 and 10 days, its hard to figure out. But I would submit during the week, around wednesday to avoid weekend reviews.

I'd say the weekend is probably the optimum time to get new content accepted. It usually takes 24-48 hours for them to appear in the re-indexed search so that means they'll the freshest files on view for the new week.

Not that it really makes any difference anyway. Good, unique content sells; ordinary stuff quickly disappears down the order __ irrespective of whenever either get approved.

Lately new stuff seems to appear in port / be visible in searches pretty much immediately

Agree.  I had a batch approved this past week and had sales immediately after receiving the confirmation e-mail.

When to upload is a crap shoot and I don't think we get the new-image boost we used to.  The images appear to be visible relatively quickly and if they are immediately relevant they will sell right away.  Otherwise, if they have decent keywords they'll work their way into the system on their own time.

Got over 100 images accepted on Saturday  :P.

Only had 2 new image sales on Sunday. At least now on monday they seem to start to sell!! But i still think it would have been better if they where accepted today.

BTW: Images showed up in portfolio right away! Not taking 2 days like they used to.

I read this kind of threads in this forum before I even applied as a contributor for SS. After being accepted I started my uploads with the lowest expectations - and I didn't care about weekends or weekdays. And now? I have to say, that the reviews with SS are the most reasonable ones amongst all the agencies. I am even delighted to see, that my acceptance ratio is close to 90%, compared to high 60s with DT or worse... FT.

Regards,

Rob

Also Sunday night is Monday morning in Australia and Japan. I think people worry too much about gaming the system and tricks, when gostwyck made the important point. "Good, unique content sells;" it doesn't matter what day of the week anymore, if it ever did, and there's no way to predict when an image will get reviewed or go live.
