Saw this note as the openner on a thread announcing the CD-A-Month(TM) program.

We're starting to burn/send the first CDs for the ShutterStock CD-A-MONTH(tm) program.

There were a few technical problems with our automatic CD-Burning machine (yes, it has a robotic arm). We almost have everything set and ready to go.

Give us another day before you see the extra .05s on your stats page.

Thanks for your patience.

While some poster say they're seeing the money -- I didn't notice any -- could be looking in the wrong place -- just wondering if you've seen any and where did you see it reported?

well i am still a little curious about how it works, but I did see one .05 picture on my yesterday stats.  I clicked on the downloads for that day, and one of the images was had a 5 cents beside it.  That image was not however downloaded for 25 cents yesterday, so it must be the cd credit for another day.

So I wonder if all the cd images that we are credited come the day the print the cd, or if in the future they are supposed to be credited the day they are downloaded.??!

Apparently they are meant to be credited the day the CD is sent which while give a weird result as it will relate to prior month sales.

Haven't seen any CD sales myself so cant comment.

If they are sending out CD's then surely the buyer's could just pass these around to other people and once they have been passed around a few times who knows where they will end up.  Not sure I like that idea

I forget but I think maybe you can opt out.

In any case I think it is still a good idea.
The buyer isn't getting anything more than they allready had, other than a backup service.  If they wanted to share the images with all their friends (and didn't get a cd from shutterstock) all they would have to do is burn their own cd.
