@synthetick - That's right, they don't accept AI, but Shutterstock has it's on Ai generated content that is obviously trained on top of our content. Yes, Adobe banned me and stole my earnings from last month and trained AI images compensation.

Thank you for your honesty!
I'm uncertain about this agency, which is why I'd appreciate hearing a contributor's perspective.
Currently, I work with Pond5 and Shutterstock, but I no longer work with Adobe. I'm actively searching for other options to sell my videos and trying to avoid "all-you-can-download" agencies.

I hear you, but I don't have to pay to sell my videos. They give you the option. My uploaded content is exclusive yes, but I am still able to contribute to other agencies at the same time. Concerning the generative AI, as far as I know, most of the big players are doing the same. Pond5, Shutterstock and specially Adobe Stock!

So, what are your thoughts, @Erin Cadigan, after a few months of working with them?
I'm curious, as I've just started uploading a few videos myself to see where it goes...

Oh I see now... I didn't express any negative opinions, cause i thought this was kind of obvious. I guess I was obviously wrong.

The price of my footage on Creative Market is $12. Since the videos are licensed through Shutterstock, my typical share would be 30% of that amount. However, I'm unsure how much Creative Market deducts from the sale, which likely contributes to the frequent $1 sales we see. I suspect this pricing structure is also a factor in the increasing piracy issues on Shutterstock lately.

@SpaceStockFootage - Are you being sarcastic? I find this situation really frustrating. Its painful to see my creations being sold for so little! @stoker2014 - I dont have control over the sales; everything is managed by Shutterstock. What I do know is that this month has been the worst revenue month for Shutterstock in 13 years!

I recently discovered that my entire video portfolio is for sale on Creative Market, with each video priced between $12 (personal) and $21 (commercial). Additionally, there is a 25% discount for members.
These videos are being licensed by Shutterstock, of course !!!

Update: I've been blocked for 2 months. Adobe Stock hasn't responded to me. I've filled out their form twice and haven't heard anything back. I'm starting to think this situation might be permanent. Adobe was my best earner, and now I'm stuck with only P5 and SS. I won't be able to make a living like this, so I have no other option but to upload to the "all-you-can-download" websites.

You are right!
Adobe has been causing me a lot of problems. It is time for a change.

After Effects, Media Encoder, and Premiere now require a login to open. They close by themselves every 20 minutes or so, and you need to log in every time you reopen them. It's incredibly frustrating!

Thanks!
The way they are handling this situation is horrible!

One week later and I am still blocked. No access at all to my Portfolio and gains. Mat Hayward didn't respond to my message here.

Thank you @Wilm. I sent him a message.
@synthetick "Follow the process outlined to you and you should get your account back"
I hope you are right, but what process outlined to me are you referring to?

I ask them and got this generic answer. I don't know what else to do.
Does anyone knows how to contact Mat?

this is the email I got; Hello,
Your account has been blocked for submitting content that violates Adobe Stock submission guidelines, or for activities that violate the Adobe Stock Contributor Terms, on the basis of internal review of your content and account. These content or account activities were found to be incompatible with the Stock Contributor Terms, because they are prohibited under Stock account and submission guidelines, such as submitting offensive content, excessive submissions, content to which you may not own the rights, spam, or other prohibited content or account activity.
For more information on why your account has been blocked, and your appeals options, see the Submission Guidelines. After I sent them an email they answered; Your content may be removed, or your account may be deactivated, for not complying with these Account and Content Submission Guidelines.
If your content has been removed, or your account blocked, due to a violation of our Terms (including these Account and Submission Guidelines), and you dispute the decision, you may file an appeal or use an out-of-court dispute resolution option (where applicable in your jurisdiction) by following the process here: https://www.adobe.com/trust/transparency.html
I am becoming kind of desperate here. MAT please HELP

Just got blocked too with 12k videos and 1,500$ in my portfolio. I am a full time stock contributor and Adobe is my best earner. I don't work with AI and I have no idea what is going on. I sent them a message, but I'm still waiting for a response...

Yeah, I've had a few of those rejections lately "contextual metadata..." Just write to the Pond5 team and they will help you with the issue.
Cheers

I see your point. The problem is that the transaction is for an indefinite period of time. So if Freepik were to offer the same commercial model as AS would you accept it?
25
« on: February 16, 2024, 04:25 »
@Ambu I tend to feel the same as you, but Adobe Stock is doing the same thing with their free collection and contributors are diving into it. Freepik wants hundreds of videos of mine on non-exclusive model for 7-8$ per video. It is tempting...
@zastavkin Some videos never get sold on other websites and some sells for pennies on SS, AS, etc....
