are they actually giving option to opt out, I sent an email to request it, the reply was just advertising how good that dollar club thing was, I am running out of patience with them, I am not away from that magical click and remove my work!!!!!
My Account / My Profile / Contributor Parameters.. below "Sell my files on DPC", click "Modify" next to it. Make the text change to "don't sell my files on DPC", save settings
Thank you very much, much appreciated!!

certainly dead for me, over a year now since my sales hit the bottom level, i don't anticipate much from them any more, elsewhere, sales are ok, nothing like that,so my be bad luck to blame, who knows:))

Wasn't it FT saying if we sell our files elsewhere (certain percentage) cheaper than their price, than they would down rank us or suspend (if i recall correctly) what if that unsold files performing better on other places, that might drive customers for cheaper options in the end it will be us who will be suffering from loss of money.(and them too) I agree at least they need to raise the prices automatically,if not giving us the choice to opt out.and 6month period is far too short, I think DT has a better policy on that with two years.

I had high hopes from P5 when signing up several months ago. had just a handful of sales, which i am quiet disappointed with, have around 500 footage on sale, well i hope things will get better.

He has already proven to be a smart guy who makes right moves,so it looks good for him. as for us? well, dunno, I have lost my motivation long ago, subs,so little commissions, constant best match shifts makes it impossible for me to foresee what will happen next. all i know, at least for me- good old days are over. perhaps it is more to do with over supply in the market, not what Yuri is doing. also almost all micro sites getting so much control over our images. shooting for . 38cents??? well?

I also found some of my images in E+ collection, I am surprised to see them there, very old files and I wouldn't think they were the best oe to make getty , but now I am curious too how this could have happened as there is no reference to IS in that E+
oh btw thanks for the heads up , I wouldn't know about it if you hadn't started the thread.

after reading the thread I checked as well to see if i was on getty too, and discovered indeed some of my videos are there. I used to be an exclusive i don't know if it has something to do with that but it is clearly mentioned to be from istock collection. well i don't know if they announced it but i wasn't informed for sure(or even don't know if i was supposed to be ) well, lets hope for some sale than:))

I dropped video exclusivity at IS some months ago as the sales were terrible there. But to be honest I haven't seen any improvement by doing so especially I am very disappointed with SS footage sales .I get sales ,near zero, same with FT , I am curious to see how pond5 will perform though. plus side of being IS video exclusive is you only upload to one site,(saving a lot of time) well as for sales, I don't know how it is now for the exclusives my sales are ok now as non exclusive I just get a smaller cut though.

I have started uploading to pond5 a while ago, no file is online yet as the review process seems takes very long.To be honest uploading process hasn't been very pleasant especially until you figure out how things work there but I will definitely give them a go. Let's see.

I think it's kind of amusing, anyway I like the colour grading, and styling in the videos:)))nice work! Also I don't see any reason to get offended.

Received a refund notification from IS but as far as I know (might be wrong though) even if the file was refunded I should still be able to see this among my sale reports. Having checked my sales for the exact date when the files had been purchased I haven't see it being reported there Do you think the sale somehow might not have been reported at all? ( a bug or something??) There is a week between the purchase and the refund btw. a
any ideas?
Thanks

My sales have been very bad since the beginning of this year. I don't know what percentage but all I know things are not going well for me with them.
Edit:BTW they used to be my second best earner now probably the least earner now even lower then 123rf etc

I am an exclusive videographer on IS and have more than 500 approved footages there, I know that is not a big port , but lately sales have been absolutely terrible not even getting a single sale over a week or ten days. and even when I get sales somehow it all shrunk to small web size ,which doesn't bring much
I was wondering if it is only me affected by it, I notice footage prices a bit higher on IS now, especially SS and FT offering subs, I don't know if this has a bad effect on IS video sales. But these days I am seriously considering dropping exclusivity ,lately it has been so disappointing, and it all started all of a sudden, things were fine until lately:(

About time agencies start promoting regular uploaders don't you think? Or do they want to keep selling old stuff from sunday shooters? At least these guys appreciate the dedication some of us put into this business. My sales are good, zero rejections, 24h reviews and they are my third best earner so they have my full support.
Good weekend all
that would be good, if they rewarded the hard-working ones .but i am not that optimistic on that sense,I don't think best match changes based on this kind of approach especially considering ranks playing so much role on the amount of commissions we get.

I am experiencing a dramatic decline in sales on FT. i was wondering if it has something to do with one of these best match shifts again? my 7 day rank was usually around 600 to 700 but for last couple of months I guaranteed a good place below 5000 ,wow!!, all of a sudden customers decided not to my pics any more? I was wondering if it is only me? BTW I've got around 2K files there.
Are you uploading? My sales are about 70% images that have been uploaded in the last month or two. There was definitely a drastic best match change about 3 weeks ago.
oh ,thanks for the tip, that's right i haven't been uploading for some while, so they must be favouring new files,I should start uploading again.

I am not disappointed with the update as it means i can keep using my beloved mark ii for longer .yes i would love some of the new features especially with the focus, the the price tag doesn't justify an upgrade. I think Nikon people are more impressed with the d800 (admittedly me too) lets wait and see if the image quality is really superior to mark ii. but it will be interesting to see what magic lantern people can do with the new camera as at least processor wise it looks like a better camera i guess.

First two weeks of the month ok on IS then it turned dead silent I can't believe it only a few small photo sales a day that's all. I am a videographer there as well haven't sold a single video for over a week. So oct was the worst month of the year there. However I experienced significant increase of sales on SS .IS was 5 times better last month but SS caught up due to sweet EL's I had this month ,I wonder what will happen this month.
