having said this it makes me want to spew up watching horrible Pelosi gloating like an old crow and the geriatric Biden is really the most piss poor choice I have ever seen the Democrats come up with!
Wow. Just wow.
Hate much, pal?
I watched "geriatric" Biden's speech tonight. After Trump it was really hard to listen to a speech with a coherent train of thought, proposing real solutions to pressing problems, showing authentic empathy, understanding and caring for the difficulties being faced by many, and that tried to unite rather than attack and divide. How will we ever get through the next four years with someone who actually wants to make things better?
People did not vote for Biden! they voted for a Trump replacement any replacement! it could have been the man in the moon as long as Trump was out! he cant even speak properly. This administration is already under fire and investigation about some Chinese connection! You have to admitt they could have found someone with a bit more clout a bit more suitable for a President.

Good luck anyway and hope you find a REAL reviewer job! you might want to try a Production-assistant job at one of the traditional agencies.

As instigaters behind the civil disobedience in the streets, Burn, Loot and Murder BLM leaders should be charged as accessories to every crime their group commit
- civil disobedience by definition is non-violent - a willful but peaceful opp0sition to unjust laws. also, a willingness tp submit to arrest we/o resisting. think thoreau/gandhi/MLK
- BLM 'leaders' have not murdered anyone, nor have they condoned violence or arson - a small number of outlier violent acts were committed at protest - nothing compared the murders and other violence by proud boys, boogaloo, and other white supremacists who trump has praised & encouraged
The peaceful demonstration at the capitol turned bad when riot police caused the problem. This was a peaceful occupation until then....
Trump incited the mob to storm the capitol, even promising to march with them (just one more of his daily lies). the crowd broke windows and forced their way into the capitol where they took selfies of themselves looting and destroying federal property - all felonies! one of the stupidest mobs in history!
Actually not only Rep protesters there was also Antifa and Blm troublemakers!

I'm lost. Are you commenting that a person who is on the left or extreme left, like me, because there is no more left, peaceful and non-violent, someone from the maximum European left like me, should I give away the money if I win it? That I should live in a cardboard house? And have an old car?
I think that the concepts of the old Berlin wall must be overcome. It is, a kind of trauma phobia that haunts you. A real panic to the leftists or communists. Is incredible.
It reminds me of the oriental phobia, after the attack on Pearl Harbor. I think being a communist is my identity. If you think it is a disease, I clarify, I do not feel bad about being from the maximum left in Europe. Not radical or violent.
And if there was something that is defined further to the left, I would be there. I love the north pole, polar bears and life. I love, respect for everyone except the extreme right. I don't consider them human, they only bring tears, sadness and blood.
No, I don't give my money away. Nor am I against piling up money.
Everything is made by history, apparently the fascists killed him for being gay, the best poet in all of history. He is my beacon. I love poetry and the real human being.
Being an anti fascist is the most honest thing that makes life great. What is not normal is to be a fascist.

If youre extreme left then what are you doing in the microstock business??? thats a giant commercial cogwheel and I thought extreme left's was against commerce??

Uncle Pete!! I read another type of analysis! the people, Calif and corps supported the Dems mainly because they can control the easily led Democrats, all it takes is a bit of money and they are quite gullible. Sillicon valley alone will eat them alive! Biden is probably just a front figure and old and decrepid. Forget Trump! but the Republicans in general already have the money and the huge war-machine behind them.

Just to show, SS dont care about how big you are! If you violate Terms of service...youre in trouble.
I feel bad for Pat and BB (not getting into weather BB is the place to go to or not) The guy tries his best to run a clean operation.
Im also glad to see that SS takes things very professionally. 900K clips, gone, I think its temporary.

You call that professional? I call it laziness. Culling an entire port, punishing innocent BB contributors for some bad apples? It only shows (once again) that SS doesn't give a crap about people's livelihoods. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fighting copyright infringement and BB should have been curating better, but at the same time SS continues to allow smaller thieves to upload blurred stolen photos and other obviously stolen content. SS is nothing more than an greedy corporation where contributors are nothing more than a statistic.
Well spoken! and thats exactly how it is! SS allow thieves to work their way into the machinery and don't give a crap untill theyre found out and then all others gets punished along with them!

There are a few that come to my mind: Stocksy, Trevillion, Arcangel, Filmsupply.com, etc.....Everyone of them is focusing on a specific area of visual content. if they are going to survive in the long term is an open question. I hope so.
What are the niche agencies?!
Sent from my motorola one using Tapatalk
[/quote] Yes! and apart from these you have SPL ( science Photo ) terrific agency but highly specialised, Offset ( absolute rubbish), Westend ( German weird agency/distributor.) There isn't a lot I'm afraid and all these are basically just trying to survive. The majority of todays buyers seem to be happy as long as they pay in pennies and not dollars! its a matter of quantity rather then quality.

I don't understand why you rate Adobe the King of the hill? they manipulate and skew searches as much as the others and not doing any favours at all. I know many big contributors completely slaughtered by Adobe same as SS. They are all nursing the eastern countries!
I think the truth is that no agency is performing well and the big money is gone forever no matter the portfolio content. As far as I'm concerned there are no winners just less losers!

Too true Jo Ann. There is an old saying: the Lawyers are the ones that ultimately end up with all the money!

...there is no money or power with leftie comany just misery and wishful thinking and that do not generate money not even an income. Have you just completely made that up?! Or do you have any data to suggest that that 'leftie companies' have no power, no money, do not generate money... not even an income? You're aware that your very first example of a 'leftie CEO' was Oringer... the 'leftie CEO' who has a net worth of over $1bn, right?!
Please tell me you're not mistaking a company with a left-leaning CEO to be the same as some kind of communist or socialist organization?!
But thats exactly what I mean! he was until the day he started to make fortunes and then he switched very quickly and moved towards the right! thats what I am saying. Anyway forget about the politics waffle. The simple answer is NO! I don't think Jon would lift a finger not even a toe to improve or make things better and besides he does not hold a majority anymore so how could he?

Believe it or not but people like Oringer, Zuckerburg etc etc are lefties and now with a new leftie President??? lefties have always become rich on other peoples work or money! so Jim how do you propose to get somebody like Oringer to do this?
There's so much wrong with this paragraph that I don't know where to start. But for now... I was always under the impression that 'righties' weren't a big fan of 'handouts', so I'm guessing you wouldn't be interested in this anyway?
Don't know what you mean to be honest but anyhow there is no money or power with leftie comany just misery and wishful thinking and that do not generate money not even an income. As far as Oringer? well just have an educated guess.

Lisafx had a working site, then it was re-written, she paid for that. Last I looked, it wasn't functional at all. That was with someone professional who made changes to keep it working. Maybe the code could be purchased from KTools Photo Store as a starter, then developed. Cost vs return how much demand?
I doubt it would be worth the effort honestly. For me it was ease of use and that it allowed a lot of variables that the Wordpress plugins don't seem to, right off the shelf (video preview, multi contribs, separated payment modules, etc). I also found that I didn't need extensive tech skills to run it compared to some of the more involved WP plugins, and I have tried most of them.
For the money and amount of work, it would be easier to buy an existing agency I bet, and rebrand, toss all the collections and start fresh with exclusive stuff.
At the end of the day, its all just software and (relatively) easily dealt with, compared to establishing sales and marketing your brand. I still maintain there is no point competing in the same sphere as the MS agencies (ie via random google search), and is better to branch out to areas they don't seem to work in. That is the tough bit in my opinion.
I still have my site. I use the WP Photo Seller plugin currently, does the job but is very basic.
In the days of Lisafx! there was a whole string of photographers who had working sites. Some guy founded an agency called " warmstock " and he picked and invited about 50 of the very best and most prolific stock shooters at the time. This was of course a great idea and still it didnt work!! about a year later the agency folded and gone!....he who founded the agency said that it was simply too much work!

Last year I found some of my footage in a car advert! I sued and won the case and got quite a bit of money for it. Do not hesitate just sue for theft and infringements and weather its Agency or client!

Oh boy this idea have been on the carpet many many times. I think the first time was when Istock started to mess us around and thats about 10 years back if I remember correctly. The idea is great if one whants to spend 90% administration this and that and 10% photography!....just a minor detail who is going to pay for it all? advertising etc and all that goes with it?

The agencies might have killed the motivation but not the characters we used to have here. They might have been instigators and sometimes caused quarrels and so on but as I said they kept it alive! What do we have now? negativities and bitterness in almost every thread and post. Most of these people are either banned or just left but I often bump into some of them in the the world of commissioned photography and in the rights-managed agencies ( not many left) but under different pseudos of course so they are still around but not here!
