I tought that StockXpert might be Istock's way to split off exclusives and non-exlcusives with istock being for their exclusive members, sort of like what pixart suggested earlier. If that's not it then I am not sure what sense there was in adding another micro to the getty fold. If the jupiter deal was designed to get some of the other assets than StockXpert may be in trouble.

With the new best match I find most of what sells is my older stuff. Newer stuff is not moving.

This is like watching bank mergers, canstock folded into fotosearch, Snap into veer, stockxpert bought out by Getty. Whats's next a SS and Is merger? I hope this works because SV was fading fast.

Sepia works well for me. I don't convert every pic to BW and Sepia some just seem better.

4 sub sales since the takeover related to fotosearch and one other sale. This is actual growth there, I hope when "testing" is over with fotosearch things pick up.

FT does very little for me, slower sales than other sites. I really like istock, even as a non-exclusive. Dreamstime would be my next favorite.

a sign at the web site says they have closed. A site died and didn't even know it was out their. I stay current and somehow missed this site completely. A sure sign there are too many sites.

rimglow, you got it right type your keywords in prostock and them you will have to do the final edit in istock for disambiguation.

I use the program and like it a lot, great interface and the upload feature works well. Saves me a lot of time! I highly recommend buying the program.

No subs, low payout target, reasonable review times, decent acceptance rates and steady sales. What's not to like, they have always been a solid performer for me.

Newpapers and mags are more a victim of the new media, more and more people get their news online, US New and World Report is now all online and others will join them soon. Why pay for what is free online. I still love the feel of my morning paper but even I get a lot of my news online.

most of what left after the big six don't spend enough on generating customers. Snap Village has corbis behind it and they struggle. If lucky Oliver couldn't make it then i doubt any others will.

The bi six do ok for me with the exception of shutterstock. Of the up and coming bigstock and clearly the best. I recieved several payouts from them. Snapvillage was ok but the sales of dropped off here. I also like canstock. I think there new deal will with fotosearch will pay dividends.

Shutterstock is generally the fasted and 123rf is usually quick. Dreamstime can has been fast at times when the que is way down. Istock is never fast.

What I miss is the humor in the forums, there used to be a lot of give and take there and that seems to have gone. The information is good but a bit dry now.

I really like limiting keywords to 10-15 words. If you can't get your message across in ten words there is something wrong.

With corbis as the owner you just expect more out of this site and it is not happening.

First let me say I am a small timer at istock with about 350 pics and I am not exclusive. That said I don't understand all of the agnst about Istock favoring their exclusives. These people agree to work with them only and provide exclusive content. Why wouldnt a company take care of it's in-house people first? It is also an incentive for others to sign on. I don't intend to go exlcusive and my sales have dropped but I am not offended by them taking care of the exclusives.

Unless you are exclusive the que is going to be slow. It is just part of the game.

Both of these sites started about the same time and offer different approaches. Which one will last and is one better than the other? I am trying to decide which one to invest my time with.
