DP: "Yes, you get $0,30 even though our API re-seller sells a file for 24.90. Our API re-sellers have the right to set their own prices. If you want to opt out of all our partner programs, please confirm and your files will be sold only on depositphotos.com"
Me: "Yes, absolutely OPT me OUT of any partner programs and re-sellers now."
DP: "...It will take some time to remove your portfolio from API re-seller/partner sites".
I'm waiting only for the replay to my question - what is the "some time".
Why should I have worries? I think it's clear situation... If I find my images anywhere else, they immediately loose my 1k files (every day some sells) and that's it. They're to low earner for me to be sad after all. They'll loose much more than I do
That's the first bit of good news from this debacle. I hope that is TRULY AN OPTION.
I wrote to them yesterday. They did not reply - but my images have already been removed from Shotshop! (Hope, they wont put them up again later on )

great to see I was opted out of this already.. (in my api, it's already set to "opt out" somehow) but I am very glad it was..
I just don't see how anyone would opt in to this..
that's why it was not advertised, and secretly launched until they got caught by microstockgroup detectives..
Well, the detectives could have just searched MSG forum... http://www.microstockgroup.com/yaymicro/yay-newsletter-information-about-new-product/

Really like it, but wish it wasn't a buck a pop for extra agencies. You get 14 or so for $3, but if you want the last 8, it's $8 more?
Can anyone tell me which agencies are included in the the $3 and for which you have to pay extra?

More and more agencies are accepting images taken with mobile phones. Since I am thinking about buying a smartphone anyway, I might as well buy one with a decent camera suitable for stock. Any experiences or recommendations?

Has anybody got any experience closing their Veer account? Will Veer payout the balance even if its less than the 100$ minimum requirement?

Hi Microstock Man,
we are sorry for that, everything should be synced now but obviously there was some problem with your account. Our IT guys are checking what happened, but anyway - your images are set up for sync now, they should be ready in a few days. Sorry again!
Hi Lucie, than there must have been a problem with my account as well... Only half of my Pixmac portfolio is shown at http://www.pond5.com/artist/2@abfoto. Could you get the IT guys to have a look at that as well? Thanks!

5 downloads a day for 0 So Bigstock is giving away our images for free - even if you opted out of the "free image of the week". Does anyone know anything about that? Was there a newsletter? Will we get paid for those free downloads?

Hi Anglee, http://www.microstockanalytics.com/ is not a competitor. Its a statistics tool that advertises to track sales from 5 agencies including 123RF. While it works for the other 4 agencies it does not work for 123RF. As far as I know there is no (easy) way to find out how much a particular image has earned me on the 123RF site itself. Best regards Axel

Where do you see the views? PD only displays sales and comments. Or have I missed something?

I have a small portfolio of 250 images. I had 3 sales in my first month there. And with that I am listed at no. 12 under "top new authors"

Forget asking "will a cell phone ever replace a DSLR" and put it another way: "in the same technological generation, will a smaller sensor ever replace (read: match the image quality of) a larger sensor?" I think the answer is pretty obvious: no.
Did 35mm cameras ever match the image quality of medium or large format cameras? No. Did 35mm cameras pretty much replace medium or large format cameras anyway? Yes. Why? Because they were easier to carry around and the quality was deemed "good enough".

I cant get MicrostockAnalytics to download any data from 123RF. Anybody having the same problem? I sent the Error Report a couple of times already but so far to no avail.

In March I had a (single) TS sale for $24,02. That happened only once though. But another time I had one for $1,83. So its mainly but not always 28 cents.

TS with 33 images
Where can you actually see how many images you have at Thinkstock? (Hope you dont mind my slightly OT question.)
put your name there on the search 'your name'
Thats funny. When I query "my name" it returns 51 images and when I query "myname" it returns 10 different images. I probably have to try other inventative spellings to find the rest Thank you anyway!

The upload via FTP is not the problem. Its the processing on the 123RF site where the files get corrupted for what ever reason...

Zoonar lets you decide which partners your pictures are distributed to. No distribution takes place automatically without you actively opting in.

It is interesting to see how off some people were... and the demise of iStock has been predicted for so long.
It is interesting about the demise prediction. Wondering how long it takes? Reminds me of my wife -- 30 years ago she told me not to drive so fast or I would get a speeding ticket. When I finally got one -- 30 years later -- she said, "I told you so."
The decline might eventually lead to iStock falling from 2nd to 3rd place - but the Big 4 will probably remain the Big 4 for quite some time.

Hi Vita,
here are my "3 most annoying things"
1. No reply from support (On June 7th I used the contact form on your website and I got a ticket number. But I never got a reply.) 2. Why arent all my Pixmac images available at Pond5? 3. Why are my Pixmac images kept under a seperate User-ID (2@abfoto) and cannot be edited (price) on Pond5?
Cheers Axel
