Nothing is certain these days, Adobe may adopt a policy identical to Shutterstock. If you ask me pond5 will come out with something similar soon, they have been waiting for a serious move from Shutterstock for a long time.

Videohive is a joke. $11 (or less) for a 3D render? Yeah right, one week of rendering and you can earn pennies? No way, I'll stay with Adobe.
Then don't sell them at $11 then, sell them at the same as Adobe... or more. And even if you were to sell them at $11, you'd probably make it up in volume. I make more on VideoHive than any other agency, even with lower prices. While it's nice to get a high royalty per download... I'm much less concerned with how much I earn per download, than I am how much I have in my bank at the end of the month.
As I said, I will NOT sell for pennies and that is called principles. I'm not one of those who help with all this dumping thing. So, if your goal is to sell your clips some day for $1 you can do it, but I wont.
Komikmiha, calm down man as i've already told u.... u can sell animations there setting u r own prices from 0-1000$. I don't understand your upset

I'm working in Cinema 4D. Rendering time with Octane render is a bit faster than directly in C4D, but it takes around 10 minutes for one frame in FullHD. 4K takes a lot more time. I have Intel i7-7700, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1070.
Komikmiha, 10 minutes for one frame in FullHD it is tooo much !? r u using Directlighting or Pathtracing ? ALWAYS USE Directlighting for video ...and put all the Kernels settings to 0 ,then gradually increase them until u get a decent rendering time /quality image. Have the same Intel as u i7-7700, 64 GB RAM, GTX 1070...that's why I'm surprised.

with Blender Eeevee or Element3D, render time is always under one hour, if we talk about 3d abstract or conceptual renders. With Cycles (if you nees realism), about a couple of hours or a bit more. 15/30 seconds 4K, on a 16 cores i9 cpu, rtx 4000 quadro laptop. I think that a week is a bit too much! What engine are you using? and what are your pc specs?
MotionDesign, as an advice for you never use a laptop for rendering you will burn it soon and with the new laptop models all the components are incorporated in the motherboard... you will throw it to the trash, you can't fix it anymore. That's what happened to me and the repair costs exceeded the price of a new laptop. ALWAYS use a desktop PC and not a very expensive one, but more 3 or 4 and use them as team render machines, you will see a big difference in rendering times. Good luck

I got a $1.50 for a video clip download....how is that possible???
1.50, 1.80 each day, more and more...just love their "strategy" transition to subs for video. A strategy that will prove to be a successful one in the end

Thank you for your comments very interesting . The last few uploads I sent in, had a lot better percentage ,started using Affinity photo to edit instead of LR and PS .The images that were rejected before were accepted but then it could be just a coincidece time will tell . Andrew
hahahaha... i'm already using After Effects CC for photos, instead of LR and PS...can you imagine that? You can do magics with it and the acceptance rate is 99%.

P5 income - year to date is 28% below last year. FYI: I removed my video port from istock and storyblocks. Never placed videos at Evanto due to low pricing. [/quote] U r wrong , i can set my own prices to Envatomarket (Videohive) but i never sold a regular clip just animations.

Despite having a really small video portfolio on a number of sites, I have sold a few videos on SS and P5. Actually, on P5, Ive reached payout by just selling videos alone. Though Ive never made a single video sale on AS and I don't know if I ever will.
3200 clips on AS and animations = 136 Euro, 50% down compared to september 2018 nice

"Hi ----------------------, Over the past year, weve been hard at work trying to deliver what youve been asking for - a better, bigger Member Library with more high-quality content. So far, weve: Increased the size of the Member Library by 10x Improved our search algorithms Added more relevant curated content with collections and trending topics However, there was one thing that most of you disliked - the pay-per-clip Marketplace. You told us that you didn't want to see pay-per-clip content on our site that wasn't included in your subscriptionLess than 5% of you ever purchased from the Marketplace So on September 10th, we will be closing down the pay-per-clip Marketplace for good." I laughed all day....never told them that i disliked marketplace

Has anybody joined the partner program? Does it pay? At all?
Before join the partner program try to buy a 39 $ unlimited video plan and see how it works. I have done so and I got scared , imagine that in 5 days I got over 5,000 clips ...about everything I needed in the future for my personal projects. And then I said to myself with the trembling finger on download button that no matter how much money I would have earn, I would not expose my "work" Clips to such BARBARISM. And I wonder how long this madness will last, I hope not too long

Spacestock : I really wonder about your sale strategy. You produce very sellable content. My clip average 25$ return per sale. Obviously you sell more if you participate in subs but I still have doubts that you are making more being in SB and Envato subs scheme(don't know if you supply to Getty/Istock too) than to stay with the pay per download options (Videohive Shutter P5 Adobe and Storyblocks).
Is it always difficult to predict and subs seem to work when there are not many players in the market. This is what made Shutter photographers happy back then where there were not millions of files added to the library per week. Even at that time I decided to stay exclusive with Istock when there were no subs there. I was making 12-13k month with 3000 images (no model at that time). Situation has changed alot but in the subs game contributor always loses at the end even if at the start it seems a viable option.
Video sales are very far away in volume than those of images so a return of pennies (Getty) or fractions of a dollar is not going to make it up in volume.
In any case good luck with your path. Your content deserves to make a healthy income.
Not since May, but I'm sure some people are. Now I'm receiving payments from the exciting new Member Library Program! It's a new opportunity for me to make as much money as possible from my content! Did you know that contributors are making more money and Storyblocks' customers are gaining access to great content?!
Please tell me how many clips do u have in the Member Library and how much money do u get ? an average per clip ? Thank u.
Early days, so hard to say for certain, but I'm on track to earn roughly $1.50 per clip this month. I have 340 items.
SpaceStockFootage, thank u...This is the type of information I was looking for... many talk here without accurate info...

Hi Ronib, I had the same problem, it seems Shutterstock not accepting png or animation codecs anymore. The solution i found it is luma matte ....extract the white from u'r animation and stick it at the end of it ...export it as h.264 or photo jpeg...good luck

... just don`t do it! They are desperate in search for new content...
trucic u said u have a small port in their library ...tell us more (how many, how much did they paid u, average per clip...etc) For example i have a small port on pond5 membership library, 300 clips and they pay me monthly between 75$ and 100 $. Clips that never sold on any agency, and I am happy with those $$ monthly.

Best month ever for me. They must have been playing with the search engine.
I'm curious - pretty much over the last year whenever someone has talked about a downward trend in stock - you have always piped up "OH BEST MONTH EVER FOR ME!"... is your small portfolio of video stock really always increasing like that? if so, I'm rather impressed it's doing that well, and that consistently...
SpaceStockFootage produce animations is a big difference ... matter less quantity, but quality. 10% of my portfolio r animations and yes i have an increase in "animation" sales ...a good month for me
