Why don't they just pay a Shutterstock subscription and download all your great pictures to promote their glasses.
Are they that desperate to get money that they prefer losing money on lawsuit instead of investing in marketing. Your images should be a gold mine for them. Like many said, plain stupid. Hope you find your way out, this is definitely not the fun part of business.

Usually they do this when someone fills in a copyright infringement complaint on one of your file.
When this happens they block your account instantly until you contact them and prove to them that you have submitted your own work and that the claim cannot be backed up.
If you took reference on someone else's work and copied even small but identifiable part of someone else's work you can be in trouble. If not, send them the proof they require and your account should be back up on the same day

Got a bunch of refunds too. I wonder why they can't just pay these expenses out of their own pockets. It's their responsibility to prevent credit card fraud.

Excel. Filling in the daily downloads and $ for every site since I started. Producing great charts and graphics.
Daily downloads? Isn't this time consuming unless you submit 1 or 2 agency? EXCEL for me too, currently making my programmer build me a custom MySQL db for this, but that's just for my personnal fun

Why do people even bother with RPI ? whats the point? surely the important thing is what you get in your hand in the end of month, thats all that matters. I couldnt give a flying so and so about the RPI as long as the money keeps rolling in.
People who wants to upload their portfolios when leaving exclusivity do tend to do some research as... If I upload all my portfolio to SS, what can I expect to get from (xxxx images). If the amount is 10% of what he usually gets per month, thats food for thought .

For gods sake please WAIT.
If you don't learn from the past... Each 2 Windows version are SCRAP!
Windows 98 was good. Windows Millennium was AWFUL. XP was good, VISTA was a bugload, Windows 7 is good... Windows 8... Let's just wait and see, they MIGHT have learned in the past decade...

You also have to consider that you have 7k images on iStock, and you submitted 1/6 on other sites.
I have mostly Illustrations but I would also put your port to Canstock, easy and quick.
Second, considering you are losing income monthly by not having your full portfolio online, I would find a Freelancer (I can refer one on my team in PM if it helps) to submit your images for you say at 10 to 15 cents per image.
The monthly income should help you get back that investment quick. At least target shutterstock to increase to the top tier as quickly as possible.
For your videos get them on Pond5 they sell well there.
Hope this helps a bit!

Both. Buying about 10 - 20 images a month (on 123rf because their credit packages suit my needs best) I buy them because I hate discussions with clients ("...it's great but could you reshoot it with this little useless thing moved two centimeters to the left?"). It's easier to show to client five photos and let them choose. Well - they usually don't want to spend money for shooting anyway.
Haha +1, can totally relate to this!

I do both. Contribute for the extra revenue per month and buy as part of the graphic design, web design, videos or print services I offer. Mostly buy the Photos and Illustrations for clients. Saves them money, and saves me time, helps with creativity also when you have tight deadlines! Also love buying After Effect compositions to create stunning video presentations without spending days to make them.

Ohhh, might be just up my street - I'm surrounded by farms, not businessmen shaking hands or goldfish jumping out of bowls. Ooooh, possibly even better: only 24 files keyworded Scotland.
They only accept exclusively. and need be there for 5 years after submission.
Not true. There is a RF section of AgeFotoStock. Complex to get entry in (lots of contracts, forms and such to get approved), made 3 sales there but with decent prices, only been there 6 month or so. They do ask that you continue to contribute to the site after getting accepted, but you can join without being exclusive.
Talking about agestockimages and not AgeFotoStock.
Oops sorry about this... my bad, must have read too quickly! :p

I just did the latest update and now it crashes at start up every time. It's not working anymore.
Before this it always crashed on istock if you want to see what images are sold. And the other apps don't show the sold images on time so you have to log in if you want to see what you just sold. Sometimes they show quick but most of the time I have to wait 12 to 24 hours until they show in the app.
Great app if it would work properly and I hope it works for others. I am going to buy "Photo Sales" now to see if that app is better. I was planning on buying that app before until I read this post about Microstockr.
+1 App stopped working after the update...

hes going up with a go pro on his helmet and a dslr to get aerial shots to sell them on microstock for $0.30 @ - he is trying to carve out a niche for himself since every other possible subject is saturated...
HahA funny but so true in an extreme kind of way he has a niche alright

Here is my current settings: Extended X [10-50] 23 % with $10 as the default
Last month I had a pic sell for $50 and I got $11.50 as my commission. I had that pic set at $10 as all of mind are set to the default. Thus I am confused by all of this now? Also I've had 4 pics sell at $20 and I got $4.60 as my commision - they are all set to $10 defaults...
Was your image sold as EL or were they simply popular images who had a higher standard selling price and got you 50$ for a large format? Anyhow this question might be best asked to Fotolia support to shed some light.

Why it could be suddenly a question of cookie?? Fotolia done it conscientiously in hope to catch more low EL sales, i guess many contributors sell EL at 10 and don't know it.
It might be but I don't find any logic in this, why would they prefer receiving 8$ instead of 80$?

Yeah write to support so that they do it on all your files for you. For the future, it's a bit unclear, try setting it and saving it so that the cookie remains there.
