Well... I've done it now! I have deleted all my files from every site so I can go exclusive with iStock.
Veer just contacted me and said my portfolio will ge gone by tomorrow.
Just a note to those thinking of doing this... be careful of Keywording at DT
It has taken me over a week to get everything removed. Phew.
Kinda scary - we'll see. Hope that crown fits!

Is anyone else having problems trying to get Fotolia to load? I click on any/all links to fotolia and it just comes up with a blank screen that says "Done" at the bottom left? I've cleared my cache, rebooted, tried everything and nothing works.
Thanks and regards Penny

Is there anyone out there who can help with a few translations?
I have to do a sign for work that shows "Seasons Greetings" in the following languages (but I need the actual font (so I can get it into an illustrator document, not just an english spelling of it)
Farsi Urdu Vietnamese Arabic Tamil
I have found a bunch already in various other languages, but the ones above, I could not find in any free online translations.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much and "Seasons Greetings"!

I need to open a US bank account (in the USA) to transfer my paypal money into, so I can withdraw my US dollars out when I go on vacation. (paypal won't transfer US dollars into a Canadian US dollar bank account.)
With the Canadian dollar so weak at $0.77 cents, I want to retain my photo money in US dollars so I don't have to pay the conversion.
A lot of banks are in trouble in the US so I don't know which bank to pick. Can any of my neighbours south of the Canadian border help me out with the name of a secure bank that has branches in most major cities/locations?
Will probably open the account in Niagara or Buffalo or somewhere just below the border.
Thanks everyone and regards Penny

Ok... Haven't been able to get a photo accepted by Fotolia since June. - TOAST
Snapvillage is a waste of time - one or two subscription a month. - TOAST
Shutterstock - .66 cents a day but not on weekends - TOAST
so that leaves me with StockXpert, (love them) but they've just been bought by Getty so its iStock in reality. AMALGAMATED TOAST + all I've been getting are subscription sales for .30 lately - so looks like they sold us down the river.
Bigstockphoto has been giving consistent sales lately, but they hold my photos for 90 day. TOO BIG A COMMITMENT TOAST
Dreamstime - good sales but must hold my photos for 6 months - ALMOST MARRIAGE TOAST and no prenup!
So... Look like I'm ready to doane the crown !
Sigh... anyone else fed up lately?

Hi All:
I'm going to Ottawa for University tours with my Son for 3 days and will have some time to visit some of the Museums and Our Parliament buildings. Does anyone know whether the are any restrictions on shooting in any of these places? or can suggest any great places to see through the lens. Looks like its going to pee rain all the days I'm there. poop. I wanted to get up to the Gatineaus.
Thanks Penny

or is it just me since the price hike?
I'm having subscriptions "trickle" through, but sales are not like they were prior.

Ok... got a new Nikon D300 a couple of weeks ago. Mac G4 died, got a newer G5 with way better speed etc. (dual processors, cpu speed 2 ghz, 2 gigs ram, 230 gig hd
Cannot use Adobe CS2 Photoshop to process my raw files, must use the Nikon Capture NX.
DEATH BY SPOD. (spinning pizza of death) It took me 20 minutes just to get through a few raw and picture adjustments on one lousy shot in this STUPID program. What a useless piece of crap!
Looks like I'm going to have to suck up another $200.00 and get PS CS3 to process my raw files. Going broke!
Sigh... thanks for listening.

Can someone do a google search for SV then click on the next tab that reads...
SnapVillage - My Image Portfolio

I clicked and it took me right to Iofoto's home page with all his images front and center???
I did it twice and same thing??
Thanks.

Back from my sail from Miami to Key West in a 38ft sail boat. I took 11 gigs of raw photos and my new Wolverine data storage/battery operated card reader worked like a charm!
Here are a few of the first untouched shots that I just saved for web, looks like I'm going to be up for a lot of late nights processing.
Its minus 29 here - burr!
ok - got it... see below! Thanks Tyler.

If one of your models is a minor and they do not wish to have their face associated with a gay website, is there any recourse if you know who the buyer is?
I sent an email to support offering a full refund to the buyer and to compensate the stock site for their lost income (only two small picture sold to the same buyer)
Anyone know the legalities of this?
Thanks Penny

Hi everyone:
Going on 10 day sail out of Florida in Feb. on a 38 foot boat and need as much storage as I can get utilizing as little space (no laptop). I found this on eBay for under $50 cdn.
It comes with the second item listed below, but I don't understand how a stick can be a card reader/writer?
BRAND NEW Topram 8GB Compact Flash Memory
BRAND NEW CF Type I and Type II (Compact Flash) Card reader/writer.
Does anyone know of any other solutions as I want to continue to shoot raw. My camera is a Nikon D200.
Thanks & regards Penny

to the prices of things because I don't understand.
On iS, since October 16, I've had 13 downloads on this one file, 7 of which have been size Medium (4 credits) - yet when I click on the Royalties for this picture it show "medium" with the price credited to me of $1.00, $0.88, $0.92, $0.84, $1.04, etc etc - all Medium, different price, none of them are old license?
Are they cheaper if downloaded in the morning or am I missing something? Doh!

.....sorry.... but....
EVERY TIME I LOG ONTO FOTOLIA, I HAVE TO WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT FOR ALL THOSE DAMNED PICTURES TO LOAD ON THE FRONT PAGE!!!! flip, a new one, flip a new one, EERRRRGGGG!
What a flipping waste of MY time. It makes me want to remove my gallery and never, ever go back.
ok, I'm done. (but I hope someone from fotolia reads this and takes note)

I have contacted support for clarification but...
Over Easter I received an email from DT requesting that I upload my RAW file as an addition format due to a customer request. (I could have said no & will in the future)
I did this thinking that it would be an 8 credit sale. Lo and behold, 5 minutes after it is approved... the RAW file gets grabbed via subscription sale.
Credit to me? A lousy $0.25 cents.
SUCKS!!!
Never again.
