Worst month since 2008. 25% down from September, which already sucked. Half of March earnings, which were the highest this year

LOL, haven't even got that email, not to mention my meager earnings, the July payment message OR LAST MONTH's PAYMENT.
Shitterstuck is more and more embarrassing every month.

Still haven't go the payment and wrote to support. Here's their answer:

Dear XXX,

Thanks for reaching out to Shutterstock Contributor Care.

Thank you for being part of our contributors' community since 2006. I understand how important it is for you to receive your payments on time. You're absolutely right; in the last payout on 7/2/2024, 7:54:46 AM, the payment failed with the error message "Payee was not found". The amount does not go back to your unpaid earnings balance since your payment is scheduled to be reissued for the next payment cycle to the account in your records.

I would suggest contacting Payoneer directly and making sure that the account is active, verified, and ready to receive payments. Please share their response with us so we can further assist you.
You can find additional information in this article where the timings are explained.
How do I get paid for my work?
If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know, I'm happy to help!

Wishing you a wonderful rest of your day,

Best regards,
Fabrizio

Got the usual "Your latest payment has been calculated and will be paid out later this month." message on July, 3rd, but haven't received the payment yet - which is quite unusual. Have you (Payoneer users) received it?

That was definitely something - especially with the little thing's eyes bulging out near the end.  Made me laugh.  Definitely made their point that the new iPad is very thin but not sure why anybody would want to buy one.
Well, Im reading this on an iPad Pro.

Canva / Re: Canva Tax Forms
« on: December 15, 2023, 07:57 »
Anyone else has problems with their payment since Canva changed from Hyperwallet to Trolley?

I used to get my money via bank transfer, no problems at all. I just got a mail from Canva that my latest payment failed and I should update my bank information. Problem: The old bank information is correct, so I have nothing to change it to.

Exactly the same here. Same bank account as used before, never had problems. Now they tell me the payment was returned due to a Gateway processor failure, whatever that means.
Also, they didn't accept my Tax Form, they claim my tax number was wrong. Might be, because the number contains slashes, that were prohibited to enter.

I'm surprised they still exist, I worked with them in the late 1990s, when I was on the buyer side and there was real money to be made (for photogs and agencies).

reflects the core commitments that Shutterstock has actively upheld over the last two decades

Those are:
- squeezing out contributors
- paying millions to unable CEOs
- disappointing shareholders nevertheless

They need to work on faces and people?  :o

Obviously, or which planet are these women from?

You are getting a bit to emotional here and political as well. Totally unnecessary. The only point I'm making here is that if anyone with such a great audience place your art work it's worth thousands of dollars of promotion. Sure he doesn't pay for using your art but lot's of people will because he promoted your work and you will get a lot of attention of paying customers. And yes you can nag about things not being right but I personally would welcome something like this. And I will bet the artist in question will not be so unhappy as well. Even though she complains about not getting paid by Musk himself or being credited. C'mon think twice :)
But then still you can have another opinion. It's a free world still where we live, isn't it?

Can you tell me how in the world a microstock artist profits, when their work is stolen and published without mentioning the artist and linking to  their portfolio?

12
Hey Adobe, I guess we can now pay our Creative Collection license fees in US$ too, correct?

13

If I understand it correctly, we can decide on 28 February that we want to continue to be paid in euros. This way we at least have the opportunity to save another 3% paypal exchange fee.

You wish. You can be paid FOR THE LAST TIME in Euros, if your payout request is made til Feb 28.

20% down from July which was not great either. In other words: worst month since the implementation of ESP

Hasn't arrived in my account yet

Thanks to the incompetent idiots in charge, we're on our way to a recession.

I anticipate that many companies with either start downgrading or cancelling their microstock accounts from sites like SS and AS.

My SS sales has dipped in the last few weeks. Less big sales and less daily downloads.

Just brace yourselves for what's to come and stop supporting people who are economically illiterate.

It's funny how conservatives worldwide always claim recession and inflation are the fault of the current government and never based on the mistakes of the former one.

The answer to your thread title is Yes, unless you own a yet undiscovered niche and are an excellent artist. But if that was true, you didnt need the stock biz.

Looks like I might make less than I did my first month Jan 2014.  Thats ten times less than my monthly peak.

I had to go back to 2011 to find similar earnings compared to the first half of January 2022.

Comparing my numbers after the levels change from the first part of Jan 2021 to 2022, my DL's are 22% less and my $$ are 28% less.

If the trend holds, I even have to go back to January 2010 to find similarly low earnings. My alltime best month was 9 times as high. Level 4 already.

i think you should call your lawyer and sue youtube, they are responsible for the content. not sure about us tho

Old thread alert. The youtube channel no longer exists.
