Not working for me. When I tried to login with my Fotolia password I received an error message: "The password is too short".
Long ago I created account somewhere at Adobe site. Now I used that old email and password and it worked, I was logged in and prompted for sync with Fotolia. If you don't have Adobe account, create new on contributors.stock.adobe.com. Then log in. Be sure, that you are logging in contributors page.

My old ftp name was reported as OK, but to log in to new ftp I had to use account password and account name as well.

IMO the solution to this would be to find and integrate a compliant third party commercial shopping cart which is capable of doing digital downloads and which solves the tax issue. I have no idea which.
I use Fastspring now for selling my defishing program. They act as a reseller and get 8.9%, it is acceptable for me. I was thinking about integrating it somehow with Symbio, maybe later There is also PayPro and many other similar companies.

Let me add my opinion to this very interesting thread For me Symbiostock is still something important (and not dead  . I even sold an image last week:) I spent many days creating symbiostock.info, plugins and some networking code for Symbiostock. I still hope that Leo or someone else will continue this project. I thought about doing it myself, but I am afraid, that it is beyond my skills. Maybe, if I had more time I even wanted to make something what I called "Symbiostock lite" or "symbiolite". Written from scratch very simple, but fast and with only minimal set of functions. Without bulky and slow Wordpress, but of course compatible with Symbiostock network interface. What is very important for me: "my" Symbiostock should work out of the box. Ready to use stock site, with all menus, home page, EULA, slideshow etc. Even filled with few demo images. Just upload script to server, enter few lines of personal info and start uploading. It all should be like creating an account at any of existing stock sites. Customization options - yes, of course available, but left for later. This would be my branch of Symbio

Regarding VAT plugin: I am trying to sell shareware in my site (defishing program), and I am using FastSpring as a payment platform. They act as a reseller, with full customer service, VAT invoices for EU customers, etc, and they take only about 8.5%. There are more similar resellers, for example payproglobal. Maybe it could be possible to write a plugin for Symbiostock, somehow integrating it with one of those services?

Webmaster Tools is still showing the top three sites linked to me:
symbiostock.info
symbiostockphoto.com
All links leading to your site from above adresses were automatically removed three days after you deactivated Symbiostock theme. Webmaster Tools reports them because Google has them in database, and I think that you have to wait months (sometimes even longer), until they completely disappear. BTW, my Webmaster Tools show 571 links leading to my site from cathyslifestockphotos

Images don't have their own separate numbering. All Wordpress pages are stored in Wordpress database in records called "posts". Each page, for example home page, login page have unique ID number in database table. When you are adding new image, it gets first available ID. Every image occupies three separate post (ID of one of this posts becomes image number), so if your first image has ID 203, next will be 206 and so on. These numbers should be rather assumed as unique image identifiers, not consecutive numbers.

My SS theme isn't getting to read the .mo files within the languages folder and it was defined correctly the language into wp-config.php:[/font][/size]define('WPLANG', 'pt_BR');My .mo/.pot/.po files are within the correct folder wp-content/themes/symbiostock/languages and the files are:pt_BR.mopt_BR.popt_BR.pot
Any idea what can be wrong?
In current version Symbiostock doesn't support languages other than English and language files are not used. All messages are hardcoded in theme files. Only few (for example in pagination navigator, maybe login window) come from Wordpress and language settings work there. But be careful: for example "Next" in German version becomes "Nchste" and there are problems with German "" in files used for network communication, so images from German sites are not visible in network results

Godaddy offers linux and windows hosting, linux option is better for symbiostock (windows doesn't have imagemagick installed).

2.8.2 version is working with php 5.4, blank screen bug was fixed in 2.7.9.
If files don't show after processing, check your watermark image (path).
