I've checked everything. It all looks right to me. I filled it out exactly like it's filled out on the letter from the IRS when the number was issued. It's weird.

I recieved an email, supposedly from Shutterstock, stating that my W-9 is incorrect. None of my information has changed since 2013 so I'm wondering, is anyone else getting this email? Is it real or a hoax?
I did try to contact SS directly but they don't have a phone number only a web form to fill in and I have no idea how long it will take to get a response. 3

This guy has several videos on his YouTube channel which are made with Dreamstime, Cutcaster, Istockphoto and Shutterstock logos still on the images. YouTube won't allow me to report him because they are not my images. Please check to see if your images are there as the channel is about mental health.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Random removal of Images heads up« on: May 25, 2012, 21:22 »
The phone call concluded with them suggesting I email because the call center doesn't handle "this type if thing". The girl was nice enough but had no idea what was going on. She tried telling me that someone was threatening to sue. But that only works if they take down all images with that subject matter. Not to mention the people claiming to sue have no right over some of the removed images. She then claimed the other images would come down eventually but couldn't tell why my images were singled out first or how long before the other images will be down.
I know it's not likely to be personal but at the moment It feels that way. 6

Both are being removed for "approved by accident".

I received an email about 2 images were where being removed from the site. I went back to check on similar images that were approved and discovered that 5 images in total have been removed. These images were approved in 2008 and sell regularly. A phone call to DT did not give me any answers as to why my images were being taken down but not the 4 other nearly identical images created by other people.

As far as I can tell there is only information about subs and on demand on the site. I can't find anything to state what "Single Image" sales are. I've had one of these and am curious as to what they are as well. As some else said, it's nice having the larger pay but I'd still like to know what that means.

New Sites - General / Re: Zoonar paid out for closed account with no sales??« on: March 28, 2012, 07:49 »
I had several hundred images there and no reported sales. It's part of why I closed the account. I do appreciate that they were honest in paying me but I have no idea what sold or when it sold. How many other images have been sold since I closed the account? If this was sold prior to the account closure then why was it not listed in sold images? How many other images have been sold that I'm unaware of and can't track?

New Sites - General / Zoonar paid out for closed account with no sales??« on: March 28, 2012, 07:28 »
I was with Zoonar until last fall when they introduced a new partner and I became frustrated with not knowing how to opt out of the new partner. I've never had a sale there and canceled my account. Yesterday they sent me $2.45. I tried to log in to find out why, 6 months after my account was closed I was being paid but because my account is closed I can't find any information.
Anyone else close their account and then get paid with no sales? 13

Image Sleuth / Re: US company selling product with my image on it.« on: December 29, 2011, 08:43 »
I don't know the exact clause but there is also a part in the agreement that states if they decide to go after the infringer you are liable for legal expenses. If they don't go after them and you choose to pursue it yourself then you are obligated to share any awards with IS.

They have an online version of the forms that you can fill out but they auto fill (can not edit) certain pieces. I tried to call to have them correct my information (they have my address wrong). The woman I spoke to told me to email support after asking me for my user name 4 times.
With only 22 sales in almost a year it may just be easier to close the account. 18

I don't know what I did but now I can't find any of my images on the website. I'm completely confused.
Edit: The site works on my phone but it gives me a "Certificate not from a trusted source" warning. My desktop is running FinJinn security so it may be auto blocking based on the certificate warning. Looks like I'll be staying at the 50%. 20

iStockPhoto.com / Re: iStock looking for customer feedback on their website« on: October 17, 2011, 13:52 »
This would only work if they can figure out the filters. Many customers left because they were inundated with Agency/Vetta images that were not in their price point. If they do go to this system then it would be interesting to see if they change the RC program again. Right now images sold on TS, Getty et al. are not counted towards RC.

Love the new catalog manager. So simple to use, and it's two clicks to publish on Twitter and Facebook with a referral link.
