Response for my request to close the account was pretty quick, but apparently, they refuse to pay the balance (it is below threshold).
Per membership agreement, "Cancelled accounts forfeit the rights to any accumulated earnings, credits, or subscriptions. No refunds will be made."
I am wondering, how this can be legal?

This guy must be the dumbest man on the planet if he leaves a 200K job with Microsoft to do photography
I knew several guys leaving good positions in a big companies for photography - though it was definitely not dance club one (National Geographic or fine art)

if you mean by a head in good companies than the following:

Everything depends on portfolio and volumes - but for me Veer sometimes (and by sometimes I mean not monthly, but trailing year) above FT/DT, and DP is stable above BigStock.

Just got the same - and I agree. Some keywords should be banned. I'd suggest to add to the list: white, black, yellow, red, tall and short. Did I miss some?

Sorry I offended you by having an opinion and fewer sales then you deem worthy. How many sales do I need before I'm allowed to post again? 
You haven't offended me __ I'm just trying to tell you the actuality. I kind of assumed that you were here to learn rather than to teach. I guess when you've sold say 25K+ licenses or thereabouts then your opinion just about becomes valid to the majority on this forum (btw, that's quite a low hurdle nowadays). Until then you are most likely a newbie with much to learn. One of the things you will learn eventually is not to fanny about with WB because it is an utter waste of your time.
Am I missing something? I think original question was about WB, not about how to sell more. Yes, for good sales you do not need WB, good cameras or lenses, lights, you do not even need to be a photographer. So what? P.S Something definitely happened to this forum that used to be helpful and _friendly_ one

I'd like to see the accepted images that didn't sell in 3 months separated from the rejected images that made > $10 (a much worse inspection issue in my opinion).

The former would make any new site inspectors look drunk merely from the low # of sales.
Low number of sales _across_ all sites = just bad image. Statistics of only rejects of good images would give too much weight to sites with high acceptance rate, so it has to be counter-weighted with 'false-positive' one. I found different problem - false-positive and false-negative got different weights. After fixing this, numbers (and positions) changed. I'll update original post. I am surprised - one of my worst sellers, FT, appears to be pretty good

There is one problem with pressing lens to the glass with rubber hoods - it works fine with primes, but with zoom it will force you to the widest position, where angled position of the hood can cause significant vignetting

What you quote here is not applicable to online retailers. One piece of information that is required for this is customer signature (and comparison of this signature with one on credit card), that for obvious reasons cannot be obtained.

I guess this just means I'll have one less site to worry about uploading to. I regularly downsize to 6 MP, too, plus my backup body is an old 6 MP D70, and no way am I changing my workflow just to please my second lowest earning site.
Having the same backup, and giving allowance to crop - my downsize is 5.1M. Thanks for helping making my decision! Will wait for next payout - and out. They will not probably miss me, but fro sure - I will not miss them.

Obviously when you're on a small hub with 3 other people in a coffee shop, the amount of traffic is small and it wouldn't be too difficult for a hacker to sort it out; whereas someone trying to eavesdrop on the traffic on a fiber optic cable downtown has a much bigger challege.
Quite opposite - bigger traffic - more opportunities to steal. The difference is on other side - it is pretty hard to eavesdrop on fiber cable, and extremely easy on unencrypted WiFi. It was not a real problem when technology was available to serious guys only: we are too small for them. Now it became available to anybody...
