Pond5 have halved prices to all my clips even tho from contributor sites prices looks what i have set them

but when you click individual link all my prices where 50% less. Example I set 120/60 4k/HD prices, but when you check link it's 60/30 for 4k/HD clips.

Other older videos I have set to 99/50, but when I check them, they are 50/25.

Is there some promotion or whatever it is, why are they doing it in that sneaky way?

So, do I need to put them on 240/120 4k/HD to sell them "normal"? anyone know what's going on there?

I only remember a special discount on all items 30 off, but limited for 2 days only.

Could it be that you in the past let pond5 set the prices and after that you set your own prices? So, because of that preset to leave it to pond5 might still active and then indeed they can do whatever they want with your prices - also increase if that time on demand.

My suggestion:
Ask the support and send them the file ids. Pond5 usually investigate things very serious and in a good way. The support from them were always great for me.

No, I always set my own prices and never let them decide.

Some time ago they changed prices for few my clips and I told them that it should never happen again without letting me know first.

Anyone else has this problem?

Don't check from your contributor site, they are fine there, check by checking your clips as buyer.

Yes they did for some selected clips few years ago. Never to whole complete portfolio and by making our prices looks "right" from contributor site but actually complete different.

Sneaky and unprofessional.

They market their site as allowing contributors to set their own prices, but the fine print says they can change them at any time.

I was not aware of that.
I went to my Pond 5 page and saw it's true, offered prices are down.
I decided to do a simple test.
I went to edit a price of a single clip of mine.
The 4K was 138 at the price tier but it appeared 50% down to the customer, as 69.
I changed that to 276 and it immediatelly appeared with a new price to the customer page, now at 138.
There is also nothing at their community forum, but isn't that naive, if not to use a worse word?
Do we play that game?
We double or rather quadruple our Pond 5 prices to get them back to where they were?
Do you think that someone from Pond 5 is reading and cares to reply?
It would be easier if they just informed us if this is a limited promotion or not.
We do not sell hype, we sell clips.
If they decide we are not to set our own prices anymore, it would be essential we know so we set our own strategy of uploading too.
Again, if this is a limited time offer, it would spare us the fuss if we knew about it in advance.
I guess it is time Pond finds a ... Mat ambassador to reply!
We are all listening!

I deleted many of my content on Pond5 because of very weak sales.

It is interesting to see that prices at my exclusive Pond 5 clips are not affected, only the non exclusive ones appear to be sold 50% down.
Does anyone else with an exclusive Pond 5 account see the same?

My videos are offered on Pond5, exclusively, so I was concerned about this.

Just checked and found that my original prices are still there.

Could this be another P5 incentive to encourage exclusivity?

As far as I know, exclusive clips will always be at the price you set as an exclusive artist.  That was one of the perks for becoming exclusive.

As far as pricing for non-exclusive, they do fiddle with those prices.  And to top it off, the price can also vary depending on geographical location of the browser.

So, you may see 50% off, but others may see something entirely different.

Just all part of the revolving tests they do on our clips.

Pond5 have been adjusting prices for some time now. They try to match the Pond5 price to the local price which is usually the SS price.
If you live in what Pond5 regards as a low price area the price shown for that area can be lower than that set at upload. However the price will be at that set at upload in most areas of the world.
For example the prices charged by Pond5 for sales in the UK are a little lower than those in the US because SS charges a lower price in the UK.

Isn't it in T&Cs that if you offer your clips cheaper elsewhere they can adjust it down to match? May be that if you're selling elsewhere, would explain why your exclusive clips aren't changed?

I do not offer my clips cheaper anywhere, at least not if buying single clips.

the thing is, I agree if you sell cheaper that pond5 can go lower to meet that price, all good.

But they done it in way no company should done it, without any notification and as well leaving us unaware by keeping price looks normal from contributor portal.

all agencies are walking on thin line between legal and illegal business.

EU have strict rules for misleading buyers/sellers.

that's all from me about that. I doubled my prices so i will see what's going to happen.

Do we have to manually set them back at the correct prices? It seems like a fixed price for HD and another for 4K regardless of what it was initially
