If you have Amazon Prime you get free unlimited uploads to Amazon Photos, this includes RAW files too!

EDITED TO ADD: I did just research this service, and apparently the photo storage capacity is unlimited. Not so with videos, however, since it specifies a 5GB limit there:

From amazon.com: The company offers free, unlimited photo storage, at full resolution, to its Amazon Prime customers. Members get an additional 5GB of storage for videos and other documents or files

That might be enough for a good collection of HD videos, but it won't hold many 4Ks.

For the moment, I'll stick with Backblaze… which I do like but just have to remember to plug in my main backup drive at least once a month.

I keep separate folders for all the JPEGs that have been created for stock uploads on a different physical drive to my original Raw shots. I back up the Raw ones continually onto an external drive, but I've been uploading all the JPEGs to the free Amazon prime drive over the past weeks. I now have 25000 images for 159GB of storage that is all free (obviously I pay for Prime). It all happens in the background - whenever I add a new JPEG to my stock upload folders, it gets backed up to their cloud. I can see them and download them wherever I am, which also helps if someone actually buys an image from my personal stock website and something goes wrong with the delivery!

Steve, that sounds like a reasonably simple and effective approach. I may give it a try.

Backblaze backups your entire machine, not just photos. I have Amazon Prime, but I still rather use backblaze. Also you can now pay extra on backblaze to not have to plugin your external hard drive once per month.

I am trying Jottacloud, the free version, for test.
I find is incredibly slow!!!!
It arrived enough fast to 33% of the job, but now it sticks there for hours…

A word of caution for anyone using Backblaze to backup videos, check your account and see if any of your video files were actually backed up. I've had Backblaze running for almost 8 months and decided to go and see what was backup up so far and I was very disappointment to see that none of video files were there. Yes, I checked the files exclusions in the settings, no mp4 or mov. Also the control panel is very buggy and often freezes.

Ever since digital happened I tried many times to save stuff and it always goes Out of style.....NOW... I keep 3 systems.... everything saved On huge array of HD's One here and One at a neighbors house and a Third ONLINE paid for By clients to hold Only their work. each client gets a password for access to their stuff Only. After years of trying everything available. this system works well.Until something better comes along and looks Like It won't be Long before that happens.....it always does.

Not interested in a cloud.

realize this is an old thread - but if you have MS office/365 you get 1 Tb of online storage included

i've used it for years & what's great is you can sync across multiple devices so each has full access

i also have an ext HD w another backup
