Cavan Images will buy your copyright for $50 and then flog it in their own portfolio.

After I got over my initial reaction I thought - good opportunity to make some fast cash if you really really need it and are willing to give away your copyright.

...and yes, they will buy the images, and then sell them through Getty.  It is a former Getty art director that operates under the name "Cavan Images".  If you do some research, "Stella Digital" which is mentioned as their retoucher is at the same address in New York as the company Cavan Images lists on their about page.  You'll also find a studio listed at that address.

If you mouse over the images on their portfolio, and do some research on their contributors, they are talented established commercial photographers - many of which have studied photography.  It's very sad in my opinion.
