Following the MSG members requests I have added an upload folder for the FTP Custom Channels.

So now you can direct your FTP uploads to the right place on the FTP site.

Hi,
I upload few images to light burner, it went to all the stock sites but bigstock. I wait for few days, but still nothing at the pending folder. How long took it to be on the site?
Also one more thing, when I upload the image it only select dreamstime, I have to select other site one by one. Is there a way to make it auto select all the site?

Thank you

You can configure every channel for auto-submission using "Channels -> Preferences" dialog. Thus, everything you upload will be automatically assigned and delivered to that channel.

As for BigStock I thought we've solved that problem last week. Do you still have this issue if you upload an image today?

David;

I am getting about 30% of my Shutterstock files rejected because they are not over 4 mpix.  Is there a way to set the size at 4.2 or 4.3; I have set at 4 but unable to set a decimal percentage?

Same problem here.

As a temporary solution, setting a custom channel from LightBurner instead of using the default one worked for me.

With the kind help of BigStock team the issue is fixed now.

I think there should be some kind of protection (like a warning message) when a photo is going to resubmited to an agency. Although sometimes that's useful, to resubmit images, others that happens because the user messes things up. It's the second time I have to clean up duplicates from 15 stock agencies for something I did wrong but also something lightburner could warned me about, and honestly I don't like feel of being afraid to using a piece of software because I'll end up having a LOT of work cleaning things if I do it wrong.

Now back to cleaning duplicate photos from stock agencies, and in some agencies that means removing them individually.

David;

A couple request:

Is is possible to make an option to stay signed in; I hate having to sign in multiple times a day; yes, I do have cookies enabled but still need to sign in about every third or fourth time?

Is it possible to cancel a file transfer; I hate looking at the yellow squares and thinking none of my transfers were completed.  I know we can check the stats to see what went through but once the yellow square shows up, it is there forever.

Is it possible to get the stats (dollars made) for SS in the tickler on the top of the screen?

Is there any plans to offer storage; sometimes three days is not enough time and my upload speeds are super slow in Far East Russia?

Even if answer is four no's for the above, love the program.

I gave LB a real tryout for the first time yesterday and was generally pleased.  Thanks so much for making this possible.

I did have the same problem as t3mujin however of LB distributing some images twice to some of the sites, though not as far reaching has his/hers.

I actually was surprised that they were distributed at all since for all my channels I had selected I had not checked the "Automatically submit all new uploads" check box.  My thinking was this would result in requiring me to take some affirmative action like clicking a "distribute now" button in order for distribution to begin.  After I associated the channels with the images I'd finished prepping I wanted to take one last look before starting the process, only to find it was already underway, despite not checking the auto distribution box.

Can you let me know what actually triggers distribution?  Is it just associating the channel?  Given the  "Automatically submit all new uploads" check box, this seems counter-intuitive.  I'd really like an option of a "distribute now" button to take the ambiguity out of the system.

I noticed that ambiguity as well: sometimes channels not marked as "automatically submit" are being submitted, and some market as "automatically submit" are not. There must be some kind of issue.

The "distribute now" button is a great suggestion. Actually, a "distribute to all channels" button + buttons for each channel.

Also, consider this case: I have all channels set for automatic submission, which is great for everyday uploads of new pictures. But I decide to upload my entire portfolio to 3 new sites. I do not want to reupload all pictures to all sites, just to the 3 new channels. Currently, I need to uncheck automatic submission from all sites. A "submit button" will solve this problem as well.

I would also suggest automatically creating a separate folder for each FTP session (or even better allowing us to submit folders) This would simplify submitting all pictures in a folder without assigning each picture. It's difficult to find out which pictures were already submitted.

Absolutely.  This is the one thing I miss most : keeping track of what has been submitted (and to which channel), which was really easy at Isyndica.  Now I just delete everything that's been submitted before uploading more.

Hi, has any one ever tried deleting a channel?
I tried deleting Bigstock, because I have two channels for this site, and I get a pop-up refusal telling me "that I'm not the owner of this channel".
 ???
If I'm not the owner of my own channels, who is ?
And if I cannot delete my channels, why is there a "delete" button?

You are only allowed to delete the channels you create; not the ones that were coded by management.  Hope they change this; I had to insert new channels for BigStock, Cutcaster and Panther.

Thanks, now I understand why I cannot delete them, but how do I remove my login and password from these channels then?  I just want to exclude the standard Bigstock channel from my personal channels list - to avoid that I click both (by accident) when I assign a batch.

At the top right, choose "Channels"
A pop-up with the channels will come up.
Highlight the channel you wish to disable.
Under the box that says FTP Password are two boxes, labeled "deactivate" and "save"
hit deactivate
it will no longer come up on your selections when you are sending out your images

Best of luck.

I wonder how it was organized with iSyndica? Was that a page showing thumbnails list with their upload status in each agency?

I remember that Isyndica used to have thumbnails in the left column, followed by empty buttons for each channel.  These buttons turned yellow when they were ticked (assigned), and green when the image was successfully submitted to a channel.
If the user wanted to submit an image, he/she just ticked all the necessary buttons, followed by a big "submit" button. (as far as I remember, you could also "submit all" images of a batch to all channels, or submit all images of a batch to one particular channel).

Right now, I have a batch of 20, assigned to all channels.  My upload limit of istock was on 18, so 2 images were not submitted  (I had to wait 17 hours before Istock allowed me to submit again).
I have the impression Lightburner does not do a second trial, so I have to check and find out at Istock which 2 images are missing (I cannot see this in Lightburner) and re-assign them.

I realise this would mean a rather big lay-out change, but if we could see which image went to which channel, that would be great!

David,
Apparently there are new problems with bigstock. Images upload successfully but keywords, description etc do not appear on BS.
What's wrong with them??
Thanks
Diego

David

Can you explain the latest with uploads to Fotolia. I thought it was not working and so I uploaded the images directly to Fotolia, but at least a week later, the images suddenly appeared (as duplicates) with Fotolia. Images I uploaded to Lightburner yesterday appear to be in the same situation.

Could you add a table on your support page summarizing any issues you are having with the various sites and letting us know if we should upload directly to the sites?

BTW - it is a great site and a great timesaver!

Hi,

there seems to be a problem with changing my password. I use Opera11 and although my password meets the needs (one lowcase character, digit, over 8 chars...), it is always rejected so I am stuck with the default password. This makes me feel uncomfortable from a security standpoint and I would like to know is there going to be a fix for this problem.

Thank you in advance
