I've just recieved an email from a company called VecPHO wishing to manage my portfolios to multiple microstock sites, has anyone been contacted by VecPHO Consulting agency to manage your portfolios?
Seems a bit strange and i can't find much info on them or if they are even ligitimate. Their facebook page has pretty much nothing on it.

"VecPho Membership is free. As in, it costs nothing to be a member and get a Manager for free which one will make you a consultant through the strategy you can make with the distribution of your content."

Sounds like someone put "How to scam people" in Google translate...

Lots and lots of frothy talk and very little in the way of specifics on their web site.

Who are the people behind this? Didn't see anything.

The Facebook page was created in February 2020 but seems essentially empty - a placeholder with a handful photos.

Did see some very strange claims though:

"...we offer creators the ability to collaborate and share in the ownership of content. That way every collaborator gets paid automatically when the content sells. You own your piece of the pie."

"In VecPho we have 3 different proposal offers:

Sell the full portfolio.
Sell a selection of resources depending on different styles or details.
Sell with an advance payment, getting future royalties.
These three ways are always depending on the goal of the Stock Sites. Some of them are more interested in one offer and reject the idea to make another one. That will be shared with the member of VecPho the possibilities with their portfolio opportunities."

Their English is terrible, so I assume they are not native speakers, but if this business was a serious proposition, you'd expect some more concrete contact details, someone to get the web site language in shape and some examples of "current happy clients".

To answer your question directly, I haven't been contacted by them but I wouldn't consider handing over content to them, let alone a passport number...

VecPHO looks like a Freepik offshoot. I guess they're trying to recruit a maximum of creatives to further expand their network.

They got in contact with me as well, in the contract they sent me it says as details for the other party:
"MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS GROWTH S.L., in the name of VECPHO with an address
at MLAGA (SPAIN) with Id. card no ESB________ Hereinafter, the ADVISER." (cleared number due to privacy)

Sounds phishy.

They say they have relationships with some top agencies and one of the options is selling a portfolio. What's the bet that the one agency they have a relationship with is freepik, which is run by the same people, allowing them to pocket back a nice chunk of the price they pay for images?

Portfolios will circulate on the secondary market. Then creation for sale will become again less reasonable because profits will be on the large package sale. And yes, if they position freepic as a top agency...

Yes they contacted me.

Asked for my license as proof of identity and sent me a contract. They are also requiring proof I own my company. They are located in Spain.

They are claiming they will negotiate better numbers with the stock agencies. I'm a bit wary though. Is it even possible to negotiate fees with them if you don't have a sizable market share? I do OK but I'm no Yuri.

Think my suspicion was 100% correct

this was debunked, as that particular artist had unreasonable demands for committing his portfolio, and when they refused he started a slander campaign,

But lvaro Garca Cop (the guy posting) was "Growth Hacker" for Freepik for years though? i.e. the very man who led their "growth strategy" which we have discussed many times on this forum?

Vecpho/MSGrowth/Management Solutions Growth SL is basically a couple people, the main one being this guy plus intern (which I wont name because he is a kid fresh out of college).

I am not sure what you mean by they have nothing to do with freepik in this context.

Maybe sign up with them and post a testimonial/ endorsement when these amazing deals they promise emerge? (the ones that don't just involve selling rights to Freepik I mean)

...Also of interest re. Freepik connections.
If you look at the comments on the youtube video in question you will see two comments supporting the site saying it is legit etc.

Comment one is by user John Stocker AKA Freepik Ambassador Prakasit

Comment 2 is by user yusuf sangdes  AKA Freepik Ambassador  Yusuf Sangdes

Defo sounds legit and like there is no connection no?

Yesterday I research and read everything about VecPHO, but I did not understand how it work, to much to generell and not detailed.
If I do not understand how it works, how could I get interested in it?
what are my PROs instead of uploading myself to all agencies?
Full excisting portfolio can follow it? strange! How it works.

I see only NICE words like in all these exciting news elsewhere, but no clear concepts.

If you have hundreds of authors working with you please post some testimonials from well known microstock contributors using your services who are not also either employees of Freepik or Freepik Ambassadors, if you could ask them to post here themselves that would be even better.

Should be easy...yes?

This quote from the website makes me wonder if they are actually trying to market the Freepik catalogue to the other agencies (along with the work of anyone else they can get to sign on):

"...We are a community of content creators with our team of Managers who will help the artist, to make their best point, their ART."

Could that community of content creators be Freepiks staff? Very bad news if all that backlog suddenly hits all other sites. Just guessing here.

EDIT... With the recent post about Freepik not paying several times in a row because of problems I wonder if they are struggling financially and trying to find other ways of making money?
