That is what joyze wrote and I still didn't get bumped nor received retro payment:"All Redeemed credit information on our site will be updated with the new targets before the week of July 4th. For those who have reached the next target level and are due retro royalty payments, we'll be adding that to your accounts during that week."

It's been well over 3 weeks now!

Oh, tush, tush. You must know by now that iStock work in a different space-time continuum than the rest of the known Universe.

It's just so nice to see that they're enjoying on vacations with OUR money right now

Looks like the key to that statement is "before the week of July 4th. ". I would say you have at less three more days before you see an update.

Lol I misread it in the first place (I was thinking of 4th of June). I'm not a yank so it totally slipped my mind that it's the date of a national holiday. It's great seeing them keeping our money till the last possible day as usually. I should have gotten that raise 3 months earlier >:( (but of course they didn't stick to the RC announcement dates. Twice).

Congrats on getting your target early. In future it's always best to raise a ticket to support via the help tab.Not sure what you gain by raising the point on an independant  forum !
BTW-i'm sure the staff pay for there own holidays out of there salaries  ::)

The point is I won't be getting anything other than a generic answer from the IS staff, besides that I'd probably get the reply after they'd finally sort it out. I wondered (in the OP) if any of you got it. Such threads are a no-no on IS and Lobotomized immediately.

I wouldn't be so sure, how can you explain all those delays? :) Anyway they're holding on to my money from April and I'm sure many reached their targets sooner, some may have reached their 2nd bump in all that time and I don't have to point out they're waiting for a lot more money than I am. IS is financed by us interest-free. Now that is how you run a business! Great for achieving short term goals and burn in the long run ;)

Actually it is a more relevant subject than other threads. Someone may have the answer and that's the purpose of this forum.

.
Someone gets payed by Istockphoto to answer questions and concerns of its contributors.
I thought the purpose of this forum was to meet strangers and engage in foreplay before getting down to business ........

Theoretically, yes, but it seems that quite a few contributor concerns have managed to fall through the cracks.

Here's a good example of that:

I don't know if they've cut back on the staff in contributor relations, or whether something else has changed, but I have found response to be extremely slow on CR tickets at iStock. I have one currently open from May 8th - it has disappeared once or twice (a reported bug; not sure if that's fixed yet) but is still unanswered.

In a sense we have little choice - you ask in the forums and you're likely to be told to open a support ticket. A few months back I did that (after Lobo rapped my knuckles for bringing the problem to the forums) and then support closed the tickets - rapping my knuckles again, telling me I'd been told before not to do that - saying I should look to the forum thread for more information.

Contributors represent costs - they have to pay us royalties on images and then spend time answering our questions. They are trying to minimize those costs to maximize profits. Offering excellent service to contributors just isn't anywhere on the priority list.

Yeah you misread it, but I bet they will late with that 3 weeks in July too.
Any announcement from IS I just read as childish April fool joke, so you are not wrong at all especially if Kelly Konjson wrote it.
You will see  ;D

They usually kept waiting 'till the last work day, but now it seems  they're gonna wait till the very last minute?

Oh, I wouldn't even bother opening a thread for a lousy 2nd grade royalty level :P

How absolutely infuriating!  Was that experience a catalyst to your dropping exclusivity?  I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

It was a whole collection of things, some little but which cumulatively made it clear that contributors were no longer treated as partners in the growth of the business in the way they had been. Getting regularly pi33ed on by Lobo who had once been so encouraging to me certainly didn't help. Having that whole thread about the contributor panel where I wasn't even asked and people with fewer votes were made it pretty clear that I was persona non grata at HQ.

Some big, like Getty's new contract with its photographers this Spring, where I figured that this was what exclusive iStocker's had to look forward to. IMO Getty treated its photographers very very badly.

And some were just a result of all of the turmoil, where I looked around again at the other agencies (all of which have their flaws too, as I well knew from before) and saw what a great collection of content they have that iStock doesn't.

When I added it all up, the bulk of the reasons I went exclusive were gone or on their way out.

All valid reasons, IMHO.

Yes indeed.  A very persuasive collection of incentives.  You are exactly the type of contributor istock should have fought to keep exclusive IMHO.

And they got delayed:"RC Retro-pay has hit the inevitable bump in the road this morning. We have rolled back the retro-pay out to no earlier than end of the week and no later than early next wee

I'm not sure what to call them anymore. Thieves or incredibly incompetent? I can't imagine ANYONE being so incompetent that they'd delay every critically important work until the very last minute after every single one of them went wrong from 7.9.2010. The most incompetent ppl would realise you have to have things ready a week or so before if history clearly shows that you screwed things up every single time.
