I just noticed some photos accepted at GL.  I had thought it was purely an illustration site.

Anyone submitting people photos there?  Are they worth the effort?

I'm new, but I've submitted photos there. I think I have about 60 up now. I haven't sold anything, but their commission structure is great. Fast and easy uploads too. Super easy. If they are key worded already, you upload and you are done. They don't take anything editorial or anything that requires releases.

I have almost 1000 pics there, my most graphic ones. I sell 2-3 a month for $6 each so far. Very easy upload with Isyndica not need to push on the site...

Here is my  link if you want to use it:http://graphicleftovers.com/ref=ldambies/

Do a search for "people" and they are all vectors/illustrations, so I don't think they accept any carbon based life forms :)

Sure they do.  They even accept the kind with faces.

Thanks for the responses.  :)

Guess no point in my uploading there.  90% or better of my portfolio is people.

Just started with them, until now 420 files approved. No sales until now but since it's been just a few days anything else would have surprised me.
Easy upload, though some of my uploads seem to end up nowhere (the numbers I uploaded simply don't match approved + rejected + pending). I don't have anything needing an MR though.

I started because I read some positive opinions here on MSG, so let's hope for some sales.

Click on the unfinished file link and see if they're in there.  I've had a few get stuck in there for whatever reason.  Might need some finishing work on those files before submission.

Thanks for the hint, but there's nothing as well...

I'll just re-upload them once the current batch is approved.

First sale today. Not too bad for a new site and for having half of my port up there for only about a week...  :)

I just joined a couple of days ago despite their name :-\ and quickly uploaded 100 photos. Since I don't do lifestyle, this seems like the ideal site for me.

Just got my first sale today :) of an artistic photo that hasn't sold anywhere else. I will upload the rest of my portfolio now.

I'm interested and curious about GL but it looks as though you set your own price - which makes me nervous of over or under-charging.  Does anyone have any good advice on price-setting (for both photographs and  illustrations - bitmap and vector)?

I just use the default price, $6.  As they don't sell smaller sizes and pay a decent commission, I don't mind using a lower price than some sites.

Same for me. I thought about changing to $10, but haven't found an option to change it for the whole portfolio - and I don't want to click through every single file. Maybe if I ask their support they can do a global change...

I had uploaded there like 1 month in slow pace, i am still waiting for my first sale.

There is a GL collections, if your photos and images are in it, it will show on the front page as one of the images.

if all your IPTC is in jpg and eps+jpg then it will go directly to pending approval. Very smooth uploading.

However i will sometimes encounter an error with a code number during vector uploading.

reviewing time is very fast, within 24 hours.

all these reasons make it easy for contributors to try on this website.

I've made a bunch of sales the past week at the $6 price. I get $3.12 US I think for each. Better than the sub sales for pennies on DT, so the $6 price point works for me. And no subs here.
