I just asked for a payment at Graphicleftovers. They did it very fast.

But... Paypal is cutting $3.73 from the $87.88 for costs of perception.

What is your experience? is it lower if I do the transfert with moneybookers?

I am close to payment at GLO but from other agencies that have never happened.. weird, talk to them

We pay in us funds so that fee is probably to convert the funds on your side. I don't have your account info right in front of me, but I am guessing you are non-US.

I don't know about Moneybookers so I can't offer any help for you there. Maybe some MB users will come along and comment.

MB takes 2,36$ only for withdraw for any amount of money, they are not taking income provision.
So if you withdraw 10 or 1000$ MB they will take 2.36$ after withdraw.
I usually withdraw money when I get paid from few agencies and than make withdraw all at once for this 2.36$.

do u mean the payment is missing $3.73 in paypal? or it is missing after you withdrawn it to bank?

is it because of conversion rate?

moneybookers offer better conversion rate, but it is less flexible than paypal.

First you have to register the primary bank, where is your mailing address country. If you add another bank from other country, it can't be the primary bank, and if you need to transfer it to the bank in other country, the transactions fee is double if the funds over 350EURO.

and you have to decide what currency to keep in your account, if you set it US, when EURO or pounds come in, it will convert to US. Paypal supports multi currencies..

In fact, indead, I am non-US (the way I write is a confirmation

).
But I receive the payment from stock agencies by paypal, and they (most) never cut the amount I get that way.
I am not talking about withdrawal to my bank, nor conversion rates that are applyed for $ -> € conversion.
That cut happens before the conversion. And, even if my account was in $, they cut the same...
In fact, I have to validate that payment (and give them $3.73) before the conversion or refuse.

The same thing happens with photomedia, an agency that pays me in euro...

I wonder why this is not the case for most agencies, do they pay that cost on their side?

I think GLO don't have commerce paypal account.
And because of it there is fee when receiving money from GLO.

The type of account is what I had thought as well. Happened to me because Cutcaster had setup their account in such a way that I had to pay the fee. I notified John at Cutcaster and he corrected it through PayPal.
Very likely the same situation with GL.

We are looking into this, but it seems to be something particular to your Paypal account. Even though we are charged a fee to send you money, we do not assess these charges to you. We will be in touch with on this.

Thanks GL Reviewer, I got your email.
In fact, my account is not "verified" (by sending paypal "Direct debit authority"). I preferred not to send this to Paypal, since I only get payments on it, I don't understand why they want the authorisation to debit my bank account...
Btw, I am usually not charged, there is still a mystery.
