Now my video port is exclusive at iStock and Getty. I start 2017 with only 300 footages and now I had online about 2500 clips, but my income is not so good as I expected. June was my best month with $650 and august was my worst month with only $28, September and November $300 and $500. I don't want to quit my exclusivity, but my wife want to upload to another agencies. In 2018 we can produce about 4000 video clips, so I can upload 2000 as exclusive at iStock and 2000 my wife can upload  to SS, P5 and VB. My question is - is there any sense to work this way? Please share your thoughts.

It's kind of like a personal thing, to me though there is no point in going exclusive unless you do this part time and can't be bothered with the hassle of uploading to all the main sites.

I started my stock career as an istock exclusive but soon realized that my clips would perform better elsewhere. My clips did OK on istock - always much better on Getty but from around 2014 onwards mine (and other peoples) portfolio's became a little stagnant.

Uploading to all the major sites has been way more beneficial to me than I ever thought.

Are you doing this full time (or want too)?
I'd say don't bother being exclusive - upload everywhere. I'm non exclusive but still get the big sales over on Getty (although my clips have gone off the site) It must be Premium Access although for some reason some of them still bay $500+ instead of the majority of $5 or less.

Getting your wife to start her own portfolio (although it's yours) sounds like it could get a little confusing and istock might not be a massive fan of it?

I think it makes sense. Later you can decide what works better. That being said, regardless of my opinion, I doubt I'd be able to change your wife's mind anyway. As for myself, I would never go exclusive.

Demich, I use blackbox.global to submit my footage to six agencies simultaneously: Shutterstock, Pond5, Videoblocks, Fotolia, Adobe stock, Dissolve.
There is a lively FB-discussion group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/blackboxglobal where you can check out the experiences of other videographers using this workflow.

My experience is that clips get accepted between 6 - 48 hours after submitting to BB. BlackBox takes a 15% share for this and the platform was also developed to enable artists to work together on projects, like key wording, or even editing and grading raw footage.

Most active BB contributors are from the film industry treating microstock as passive income on the side but there are also a few full time stock shooters using BB now. The platform is in its first working version right now, with v2.0 planned in 2018.

Being exclusive is not always a good choise try yo upload some footages as non exclusive and see the difference. If you want to earn more just make more creative special footage that buyers need.

On 27 of january my exclusivity comes to the end. I decided to upload my works with stocksubmitter, i hope this would be easy. Wish me good luck:)

Dont want to sound depressing but this business have had its 15 years now and the big money train is gone. Almost all agencies everywhere are down some more then others.
Exclusivity with any agency is hardly the answer and especially not with the two you mentioned.

Hi again, I want to share with you my incomings for this first month. I am uploading already my port, so this month started with 30 or 40 videos and now is SS 800, AS 1100 and Pond 1300, as you can see the admitance are very different (I uploaded the same clips)

So, in this month I have sold 4 clips in total, 1 in SS (the second day that I started to upload, and then no more) 1 in AS, and 2 in Pond 5!!! So plus some photos that I sold, I earned around 125 $

I have sorprised with Pond because everybody sayed that it takes more time to starting to sell... and I am desapointed with SS I thought I will sell more there... I hope this month gets better.

To me this is pretty amazing really. I�ve never seen sales that quickly after uploading. Thanks for keeping us posted.

I just had 50 of 50 accepted by Adobe and am trying to get roughly 900 up by the end of the month.

Month comes to the end and I got some statistics.Upload was started at 28 of january. In the middle of March entire portfolio (2600 footages) was uploaded on SS, P5, FL and VB. First sale was at February 28 at fotolia. In march I got sales at SS (13), FL (7), P5 (1). VB approved my videos only couple of days ago. So my total income from footage in March was $421. Hope P5 and VB will start to sell soon.

50+ clips uploaded per day with Stocksubmitter? 200+ clips uploaded per day (all sites included) 

I'm impressed.

Yes, Stocksubmitter is super great and handy and with 100 Mb/s connection it�s not a problem to upload big volumes.
