I would guess so since a lot of non essential advertising companies would have shut shop or moved to work from home.

One the flip side, my guess is that news houses would suddenly start picking corona realated stuff. Also hopefully smaller creators would use this time to create more content and hopefully buy some stuff

I started to sell more regularly (I started a few months ago). I had made 200 dollars in February, I was happy to see that it increased. And there, since the beginning of March, nothing, zero, nada.

Got much sales on Adobe stock. The highest is $28 and the lowest is $7. While on other stock sites, the sale volume looks ok. Nothing to worry about so far. Also, I am making transition from images to videos now with 4K standard to begin with. The video sale is also picking up.

For March, I would not say that it is worried state but the situation must improve. Nearly all cameras are delayed. Production work is halted. We can still produce some how but the consumer is worried and is working from home. They are not sure when the audience to their work will be available.

Mine dropped in February and March is down too... I suspect Corona virus 90% the cause. Adobe has been performing well, but dropped the biggest when they added Hero Images and EyeEm in February as well.

Historically, March is the strongest month by far. This year, after a good start, it's becoming a catastrophe.

SS looks like is going to have the worst month since November 2007!

yes indeed March was always the strongest month for me since 16 years and my portfolio is very diverse but this year it looks that it will end half of what I made in January, Corona will have it's impact your mileage may vary but in general there is no doubt that this business will be hit hard too!

Virus affecting sales?

Sounds very likely for any number of reasons.

My guess is that it will also not pick up soon. Spends on content are among the least critical. So companies will also conserve spends on this for the time being

No sales to report since the shutdown. I expect this will continue for a few months.

I only do video, no photos, so things might be a bit different.
Sales are certainly heavily affected, actually at the moment SS apparently is not even reviewing stuff, and for the first times Adobe rejected plenty of stuff, never happened before.
Also, not one single sale at Adobe for 3 weeks, absolutely unheard of, as if they have closed shop

18 of my last 20 sales on SS and 8 of my top 10 downloads on SB are Coronavirus related.  You just have to pivot your business plan.

Facebook had reported yesterday that they have seen a surge in usage on all their various platforms, however, it has not translated into extra earnings because advertisers have pulled back on advertising. So the take away from that, is to expect big drops in downloads.

Surprising all my sales are up the last two weeks. I have a few China Virus images and they are selling ok. I am guessing sells in general my be up because folks are on the interweb more these last two weeks.

James, are you still uploading to Storyblocks? I pulled my portfolio a year ago and am wondering if the commission structure is the same, and are there many sales still?
