Dear all,
Sorry if this question has been already asked here, but I could not find a proper answer.
What comission you make at 500px? I am building my portfolio on 500px and want to know if it is worth paying annual for awesome or Pro membership? They promise to sell images to Getty! Do you make any money? IF yes then how much for how many images? How much per download? How many downloads? I have portfolios on IS, AS, DT.

I've got 2400 images uploaded during a free month trial of the Pro membership. I have sold one image in 2020 - and received $0.42 from Getty. Although when researching this answer, I noticed that I had 485 images accepted for licensing and 1915 declined - mainly due to low commercial value. One of those was my best selling coronavirus shot that has made $950 on other sites in the past 4 months or so. So my advice would be - don't waste your time.

I don’t have a paid membership
I used to have around 200 images up there
In the past I made some $XX and $XXX sales
When they got sold to some Chinese outfit I had my first $0.04 sale
Yes 4 cents
After that I proceeded to remove my images and the few left on there are disabled for licensing
So if your intent is getting sales - I say move on
If you want likes for your photos, by all means enjoy

Whats the point of paying and uploading, spending time just for likes?
Just to be in community? OK! But I thought SS was notorious for 10c. but 4c.? Can't believe it :-(

Plenty of people complaining about very small commissions on 500px. Not worth the time and effort if you ask me, and I would definitely not pay for it. Likes are free to grab elsewhere, so are nanocommissions.

They also seem to have very long review times, so it can take up to weeks or months before your image is accepted for the partner collection, which has pretty strict quality measures. Makes no sense at all to pay for being allowed to upload a fair amount of images, wait weeks for a review only to see that 60% of your batch was denied, and then receive (if you sell) nanocommissions.

I don't pay, and don't upload. I just added these images during a free 30 day trial.
