Hi MSG Folks,

I wanted to get your opinion on which lenses you feel would be best to take on my trip to Asia (I plan on doing people, food and some landscape shots)- Here are the lenses that I own (also my sensor crop is 1.3 ratio not full frame yet):

1. 24-70 F/2.8
2. 17-40 F/4
3. 50mm Prime F/1.4
4. 100mm Prime F/2.8 with Image Stabilizer

50mm is always a nice lens to carry around, I don´t do it often but the size/weight is crazy, not to mention the superb quality

I would leave the 17-40 at home and perhaps take the 100mm if you are really going to need that kind of shoots (nice bokeh portraits or even macro)

the 24-70 is a must, its my lens, since I got it (2011 summer) I haven't used other, not that I have much more apart from it, just the nifty and the "old" 18-135

I would take them all if possible - you can lighten the pack for each days particular shoot, but its always nicer when you can have a choice, if at all possible.

I have decided to take them all--- Funny thing is that I can shoot a photo of Moses II coming down Yellow Mountain in China and might get a few .33 sales (if the photo is accepted at all) yet I take a pic of my home heather and get an ED/EL my first day lol! Yes, I know think commercial at all times...
