I've been using moneybookers/skrill a couple of years now and during that time I haven't been charged a fee to withdraw money to my primary bank account. Today they charged me. I looked it up on their site and now for US customers receiving funds in $ they are charged a flat $4.99.

Anyone noticed the same, or heard a reason for the change? Have fees gone up for other countries and currencies as well?

No fee for receiving funds but withdrawal fee is 4$ since the beginning, but check do they switch your account from personal to business. If you have business account fees are higher, much higher.By the way don't use bank account note that international bank transfers are subject to intermediary/receiving bank charges . In cases where they do not have local partner’s bank the transfer goes through an intermediary bank, and the particular receiving bank can apply fees/charges at their sole discretion. So it's much better credit - debit card withdrawal (no fee)

Thanks Fritz. I haven't been charged a withdrawl fee before, except when sending to a secondary bank account. Maybe they did change the account to business recently. I'll check.

Even though the money that goes through Skrill is very little in my case, they did change my account to business about a year ago.
