I've seen a lot of talk here and on other boards about swings at sights on which sells, old or new.

Interesting sale at istock today. This was the first frame shot with my first Canon digital, the 20D. 12/4/2005, the day I brought it home - about 3 months before I ever heard of microstock. Put in the card and battery, cranked it to green mode and fired this shot out the back door at my neighbors playground.

Uploaded to istock on 03/24/2006. May be the first time it ever sold.

Apparently them messing with best match search results has brought older files up higher in results. I fear they screwed this up so much they may never get it to a balanced level

And where was it located when the image sold? I had a recent sale with DP that I uploaded about 1.5 years ago. First sale and buried 28 pages in the DP dogpile. That
one sale has moved the image to page 5.

I have an image that sold over 200 times at IS in 2009/2010 and then stopped dead with a best match change in the beginning of 2011. It never sold once in over 2 years and has now sold twice this week.

Yeah, I had two or three that were always at the top of a search and sold regularly. Istock alone put them in my top 10 sellers. Then they stopped and for me, haven't started back again.
