According to Lookstat I sold close to 4500 images. I found my image once on some British computer store site cause it used to be info about it on Fotolia. I wonder how my images are used?

I had much more luck searching for my username or name and names of sites like FT or DT.

I guess I haven't reached this level of popularity to be found by TinEye or Google.  Not even for my best sellers :-) Searching at Google found that my image from Inca Trial was used in some scientific paper in UK ;-)

I have to be board at work to look, I don't really want to spend the time sifting through searches to see my name when I could be working on new images.  Typically how you do a search though is "Username or copyright name" | "stock company"  for example Moonb007 | Dreamstime - that is how I found some images before.  But like I said, its a lot of work, and the buyer does not always get credit to the photographer or site.

I have never used tinyeye before, looks cool

I loved when FT gave us information.

I have found some images in use through TinEye, but lately I haven't seen anything new - I wonder if they are still updating their database?

Search for your name or nick, also name or nick plus site name.  Also "by ___" and similar searches.

Bear in mind that most of the times people don't give credit to the photographer.

Tineye sucks!
Will it ever get out of beta? It hardly finds anything!

Remember that a great part of sold images are not used as images on the web. They are either used in print or inside some flash thingy on the web.

And as they say, they still have a very small search index (they are in beta...) I'm not sure if you are aware of the HUGE amount of images that are on the web.

I have found some of my images in use with tineye. I recommend you install the TinEye plug-in on firefox, so you just have to click right button with mouse and choose "Search image on TinEye" instead of uploading files or copy+pasteing links.

Perry,

I follow many of my best-selling images in TinEye.  In the past, once in a while I would find new instances of them.  Lately however, nothing new - that's why I posed my question.  With so many XS sales everywhere (for me), it would be natural to find more online.

TinEye has been very useful, but apparently stagnant.  Maybe they stopped indexing while developing something new.  Or is it working for others?

Yes I know that, but I searched often on images I know for sure are on the web.
And it should at least find the same image on the competing stocksites, where the dimension and colors are exactly the same.

I got the feeling (like madelaide) they stopped developing, and indexing for a while.
Something is going on...., maybe a buyout, or a law suite from competitors or something,... who knows!
