Title: Attn: Illustrators - Your work may be for sale on eBay
Post by: daveh900 on April 08, 2019, 14:41
Check this decal seller on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/stickers_x_power/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= (https://www.ebay.com/sch/stickers_x_power/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=)

I see a lot of familiar looking work from stock sites.

Report to eBay if you find your artwork.

So after finding my work being sold by this seller I contacted the seller and asked him to remove my work. He removed my work, but asked why he wasn't able to use them as he paid for all the files on Shutterstock. I explained that you need to purchase a different license to sell merchandise with the designs.

Of course, Shutterstock doesn't care that someone is reselling thousands of pieces of art without the proper license and told me to contact eBay.

Some people are so uneducated and just don't read the terms. Shutterstock should do much more to enforce proper use of licenses, but it's impossible to keep track due to the nature of digital stock.
