Hello everybody,

I will be very thankful for any ideas concerning the bellow-

Can you suggest any ideas to sell stock images via someone else(thus, no direct selling is involved), besides using stock agencies?

Any ideas and further details will be thankfully welcome.

Fine Art America there you can sell printed versions of your work and you set the price.

I am asking concerning digital images downloads selling (without printing)

You dont want to sell direct, and not through an agency.

Hmmmm, that leaves out basically all options, unless I am missing something.

The only thing I can think of is burn catalogues on a DVD and sell them on a fair or something.

What are you looking for? Either you license them, or somebody else licenses them and pays you the royalty.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you're looking for either, unless you expect someone else to sell your mages for you and not take a commission.

There are only 2 ways to distribute images. Either you do it yourself or you get someone else to do it.

If it's only the bother of actally doing the work (time, hassle, skills) of selling yourself that you don't want (?), you could pay someone to set up a site, market and maintain it for you, but that would only work if you have a large range of very saleable images.

be certain to look and see what's selling there before you put any art work on their site. Also there is something just not right about them, maybe the canned responses to every help question? or when looking at traffic to your site, people from all over the world are looking at your work but all at the same time, same day? How do you know what they really sold of your work? you set the price but the mark up is extraordinary. Tried it for about a month but had such a bad feeling from them i took all down.

Search bots have nothing to do with FAA. I always get a human response from them. And questioning sales reports is your problem, not FAA either. Why do you think they are fraudulent? Do you have a valid reason to accuse them?

I am happy with them. They make me 100-350 dollar per month.

FAA are not fully honest - see the referral scheme posts I've made on the other thread.
I'm not saying their position isn't fairly sensible; I'm saying it's definitely not as they advertise it. If they misrepresent in one area, and don't make changes when it's pointed out (in case it has been a 'genuine mistake') it's hard to trust fully in other areas. Their referral page still says:

Yes - it's really that easy. You'll receive an e-mail notification whenever a new member signs up via one of your advertisements, and the $5.00 will instantly appear in your online balance.

But the reality (and I've now pointed the anomaly out to them twice) is that they have to take out a Premium account and hold it for 30 days, then we shall see if we get the money. You'll hear me scream if not!!!

A while back someone questioned IS about their sales reports and the answers were that even if they are shady at best, they wouldnt fool around with the sales reports. Why does FAA get a different reasoning?
