Didn't realize the keyword spamming but it should be obvious to anyone that the skyline in the background isn't New York or San Francisco. Still, it's incredibly annoying and hurts all of us when there is such keyword-spamming.

Am I really the only person who didn't  come out of the womb able to recognise North  American  cities at a glance?

Two theories for that.

The first, for years Vancouver has had a booming media production industry. It's actually called Hollywood North by some, and a great many prime time US television shows and blockbuster movies are or have been filmed there. Subsequently, I think many Americans now automatically recognize the Vancouver skyline and much of its architecture as their own.

The second theory I think is much more likely. The production was probably outsourced offshore.

I seriously doubt the first theory. But then, I'm from New York. Maybe people from Virginia don't know what the Manhattan skyline looks like.

"And theyve brought on Poolhouse, a scrappy Republican ad agency based in Richmond, Va., to help share that story.

Founded by Tim OToole and Will Ritter, both veterans of Mitt Romneys 2012 presidential campaign, Poolhouse will work alongside Something Else Strategies to handle Mr. Rubios media both digital and television ads."

IMHO New York and San Francisco have very distinct skylines. Yes, I'm from NY but it sure didn't look like San Francisco to me either. And shouldn't the keywords Vancouver, San Francisco and New York have given them some sort of clue to look a little closer? Not defending the keyword spamming but I don't think the ad agency is blameless for the mistake.

This sort of thing happens every election cycle.  The political commercials are made quick and dirty  (sometime real dirty), and they use stock photos incorrectly all the time.
