Hello all,

I thought I might as well open a thread for August earnings:)
To my surprise August was a BME with few changes in my big 6 ranking: SS ahead of IS by few $, and the3Dstudio a new player take the number 4 spot kicking out StockXpert and FT....
More stats to read on my blog: http://microstockexperiment.blogspot.com/

I thought August would be my BME, but things fell apart in the last week.  So I had to settle for 2nd BME.  Up 5.1% over July and up 34.6% over August, 2008.

This are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for August 2009:

1. Shutterstock
2. Fotolia
3. Dreamstime
4. 123RF

August was an excellent month with an 8% increase to Juli and a view surprises. It was the Best Month Ever for DT, 123RF, FotoMind, and PantherMedia. The two new agencies Veer Marketplace and The 3D Studio in my collection performed surprisingly very well.

I'm pretty pleased with my August, after a July that was flat to June.

I track my earnings every which way imaginable, but here's the measurement that matters most to me...

I started in Nov 2008, and here's my growth to date:

Nov 08 - $4.02 per day
Dec 08 - $9.80 per day
Jan 09 - $13.65 per day
Feb 09 - $20.86 per day
Mar 09 - $26.97 per day
Apr 09 - $26.80 per day
May 09 - $39.36 per day
Jun 09 - $47.79 per day
Jul 09 - $47.50 per day
Aug 09 - $51.35 per day

I have two revenue goals: short term ($100 / day) and long term ($300 / day).

My projections show me hitting my short term goal around April 2010.  I don't project more than a year out, so I don't know if or when I'll ever hit my long term, but as long as my growth keeps going, anything is possible.

My June, July, and August are all within just a few dollars of being exactly the same.   August would have been worst of the three except for the extra EL's as a result of settling with that customer.

ISP   38%
SS   19%
DT   11%
Fot   17%
BigStock   4%
StXp   6%
123   3%
Crest   0%
CanStockPhoto   1%
Almy   5%
Veer   0%

Down a bit from June & July but still OK considering the season and up 18% overall from August 2008. At SS only 18% of my sales are from the US which suggests that the majority are from Europe and therefore maybe hit harder by the August holiday season.

Stat's as follows (2008);

ISP  39%   (34)
SS   26%   (28)
DT   11%   (13)
Fot   16%   (14)
BigStock   2%    (3)
StXp   6%   (8)

Slow month, IS and FT way down from July, DT way up, StockXpert up too after a catastrophic July.

BME on SS, IS, and 123rf for me. DT better than average. Average on FT and StockXpert. BigStock very bad after some good months in June and July.

Weird month for me.

The # of DLs continued their downward trend since they peaked in April, dropping a little over 10% from July.

However, due to an unusual # of ELs and larger sized downloads, my $ earned actually increased by 20% over July (which was my worst month of the year, $-wise).

Subs, subs, subs: Exclusive of ELs, FT (FL) dropped to an all-time low of only $0.54 RPD.  For the first time since subs were introduced at StockXpert, StockXpert's RPD ($0.62) was higher than FT's. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

On SS, I had my worst month ever in # of DLs, including my first month there when my portfolio was probably about 5% its current size. That's what happens if you don't feed the beast, I guess. OTOH, excluding ELs, it was down only slightly $-wise from last month, due to the increase in PPDs.

Sales at StockXpert dropped drastically, but thankfully mostly due to lower sub sales. Even though total DLs dropped by almost 1/3 over July, RPD (exclusive of ELs) was the highest its been since subs were introduced, and so total $ earned was higher than July.

On a personal note, my total sales passed the 10,000 mark this month. Some here have that many sales in a single month, but I'm happy to have achieved that minor milestone.  :D SS & IS account for 2/3 of that total. Almost makes me wonder why I bother with the others. (Well, for one obvious reason, they make up only about 1/2 of sales based on revenues.)

The order by revenue earned remains the same as it almost always is for me:

IS 30%
SS 22%
DT 17%
StockXpert 13%
FT 10%
123 5%
BigStock 3%

August was better than July by about 10% and I've had a really good month at Istock. Still, FT remains my best earner by a wide margin. DT on the other hand des not really perform for me.

FT: 57%
IS:  23%
SS: 12%
DT: 9%
