Congratulations on your new role, Mat!

Your humanity in interacting with us will not be forgotten. A presence like yours in this forum is still deeply needed. Will there be a new person from Adobe willing to carry on the torch?

Hi Everyone,

After 11 great years at Adobe Stock (and Fotolia), collaborating with amazing contributors worldwide, I have decided to embark on a new journey within the team.

I am pleased to announce that I have accepted a new role on Adobes Content Operations Moderation team as Moderation Coordinator. In this capacity, I will be working closely with our expanding team of moderators to assist in the process of evolving and scaling the moderation process at Adobe.

This transition means I will no longer be providing direct support to MSG members, and my presence here in the Microstock Group Forum will be far less frequent than in years past. Since joining this forum in 2008, I have enjoyed every moment spent here. Your candid feedback and passionate approach to content creation and the community have been truly informative and inspiring.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community over the years. I wish you all the very best and continued success in your endeavors.

Stay creative!

Mat Hayward

Its one of the most important roles and hopefully the years posting on here has helped shaped ideas.

One thing that DOES worry me - often you were the only point of contact between contributors and AS.  The official methods failed.  You, in a private capacity have answered and helped with some issues.  I really hope that isnt lost and AS can supply some method of actually contacting them.  To put it bluntly, the current official methods simply dont work.

Either way, best of luck and thanks for your input here over the years.

Congratulations on the new gig.

I'd love to see the inspection process take less than a month again - how soon before your magic wand takes care of all the hiccups? :)

And is Raul.Ceron, who has posted here a couple of times recently, the new Mat Hayward?

Good luck to you Matt!!  I hope your new role will help us better our contributor experience with Adobe.  I see some good contributors facing sudden blockages and also very slow review time.

Mat, I personally wish you all the best for your new area of responsibility.

However, I also gather from your announcement that Adobe is the last agency that no longer values personal contact with contributors. So all in all, not good news.

Congratulations on your new position and many interesting challenges as Moderation Coordinator.
I've always found your help here very pleasant and really appreciated the direct contact we've had on several occasions.

Thanks and all the best, Michael

Congratulations and all the best in your new role!
Thanks for being around here, I'm sure for many of us that really made a difference.

Will there be a replacement for you?
I always highly appreciated the effort Adobe took by allowing people like you to engage in discussions or distributing information, even to smaller platforms like this.

Hi Mat,

Congratulations on your new role! It's been great having you as part of the Adobe Stock team over the years.

I wanted to share that my account (#00284743) has been blocked for over three weeks now after a sudden increase in sales. I've reached out multiple times but haven't received any real assistancejust automated replies. It's been really frustrating. That's why I started petition against this kind of contributor support in Adobe: https://chng.it/cyMhnGNJR6

Im hopeful that with you moving to the moderation team, things will get better for contributors like me. Your support and understanding would mean a lot to the community.

Hi Everyone
Stay creative!

Mat Hayward
Congrats on promotion.

Perhaps you can influence the current state of affairs with the accounts that have been brutally banned without any warnings and do something about almost complete lack of communication with contributors. My account was banned a week ago with over 3000usd of unpaid earnings. No warnings, i'm just faced with the fact that i cant access my money anymore. Chat support is endless, incoherent loop of transfers, with tons of the same questions asked over and over again, without giving a transparent answer, support tickets are answered (in best case) in a copy-paste inhuman way. It is crystal clear that the aim of these auto-answers is not to solve the problem of contributors, just to keep the distance from them. i was unable to receive any explanation of what happened to my profile.

i am not using any kind of image generation AI, do not mess with ceo optimisations of my profile and not envoled in any financial fraud!

This is a complete disrespect to long time contributors, level of shutterstock i would say.
Oh, God, it feels like begging.
Take a note if you can.

Congrats Mat.
AI seems to bee a big transformation.
In 2019 there have been around 10500 contributors with silver Level at Fotolia. It took 15 years for this number.
At the moment i guess there are around 50.000 contributors wich would reach silver level.
It took 15 Years for 10500 contributors to reach silver level at Fotolia. Nowadays it would take around 1,5 years for that number.
There is a tsunami of AI contributors on the way and you should manage to get it work. No easy job, i wish you all the best in your new role.

Congrats from me as well Mat.  Everything about you screams quality person and this is more than deserved.

Hopefully you can make some impact on what is quite ridiculous review process at the moment.    Cheers!
