Author Topic: I can't find my approved images on Adobestock  (Read 3156 times)

Good day everyone,

I had a batch of images that was approved more than a month ago (approved on mid December). Until now, i couldn't find my own approved images using all the method i could possibly think of including typing, the image id, title, or relevant keywords on different browsers.

Could it be that the images are not indexed hence the fail to appear on the search? ie: some of the images when i typed in the keywords combo, there are only 3 pages come out as a total result for the category. but my images still not appeared on those.

Appreciate if anyone who had encountered a similiar scenario to shed some lights on this matter or to direct me who i can contact with to seek a solution to this matter? Thanks.

Can you see images in your contributor portal?  Sort by Date not Downloads

Possible reason why you don't see them in external search:  Engine decides sometimes you have a typo in search term and retrieves results based on what it thinks you really meant.

I am able to reproduce this issue by typing "Cuyamaca Prairie Grassland" search term;   Engine doesn't like "Cuyamaca" word (California State Park Name) and returns results for "Catamarca Prairie Grassland" - which doesn't have my images.  But after I click "Did you really mean Cuymaca", it will correctly return my images.

Can you see images in your contributor portal?  Sort by Date not Downloads

Possible reason why you don't see them in external search:  Engine decides sometimes you have a typo in search term and retrieves results based on what it thinks you really meant.

Thanks zeljkok, mine doesn't have specific keyword of a place or a name, it was just a generic term like "cartoon baby cheering"

I had this problem once in the past with a number of images. It helped to make some changes to the keywords (add or remove one or more keywords, I am not sure whether changing the order would have been enough).

This solved the problem, probably because it forced the system to reindex the images.

I had this problem once in the past with a number of images. It helped to make some changes to the keywords (add or remove one or more keywords, I am not sure whether changing the order would have been enough).

This solved the problem, probably because it forced the system to reindex the images.

I also find that in my public portfolio, the images are way less than in my actual portfolio in my dashboard, I have about 400 images, but the public portfolio only display about 30 of them, when i click "show more" at the bottom of the page, it show other contributors works.

Portfolio link is not everything, only what you added to that section.

For your entire portfolio, not so easy, but you can see what someone else would see by using, what a customer would see:  https://stock.adobe.com/search/images?creator_id=#######  where ####### is you account ID number

See what shows there?  Then click in the upper left where it says ALL and you can select various filters. You can also search from the top for specific images.

Make a bookmark and there you are, customer view of your portfolio.

I tried this one too, but the outcome is exactly the same only show 39 images out of over 400 images. so weird ....

Doesn't work for me, it shows the Featured Collections.

If you use this and add you ID number, you also have to add the = back in, after clicking the link. It drops it when you go to the page for #######

You can click the link and add =1234567 your ID number

The approved are sorted by most recent uploaded first, not recent reviewed/accepted.

Thanks Deyan Georgiev. I can see all my approved images under the Dashboard by sorting to Date, But i can't see it indexed on the website eventhough i typed in the exact same keywords....down to only1 or 2 pages of all results, but still my images are no where to be seen.

My wild guess is that Adobestock could mask/index out some of the approved images for whatever reason/s, but my assumption could be totally wrong, as of now, I really don't know what to do to make those images to be found on the website except waiting for the images to be appeared by themselves like some of my other images do.

I bookmarked the link years ago, so easier than going to AS and clicking contributor account.  8)

The OP said his were not showing on that page, which you are correct, shows the same as the link, just below the featured collections.

Are these the same people who complain about the rejection of their artificial automatic "creations"?
Why not be satisfied, since it might make sense here, that previously unseen images can finally sell. That algorithms are not inclined to always return the eternal best sellers may be good news. And I know what I'm talking about because I have many images that stand out at the top of hundreds of thousands on different themes, for many years. But my best images are recent, and have difficulties emerging from the millions of dung that make them invisible.

No, these are people who see much fewer results of certain topic if they access AS site form a certain region. Anyway, it's been a long time (maybe a year?) since the last complaint here. If I remember right, a contributor from Egypt or Saudi Arabia couldn't see his images that were about Egypt or Saudi Arabia if he accesses AS using his region(!), but could see his images if he uses US as a region, this definitely may impact his sales badly.
By the way, I tried that myself in the past, and the difference was huge in the number of results for the same topic if I access the site using 2 different regions.

Ive no idea how to switch regions (or what region I'm currently set to) but I just did a test. I searched for three of my photos and I found them without any issues.

Edit: And then I searched for another of mine and found that one too on the first page (though only with the US spelling of the keyword 'vapor.') If I tried the English / Australian spelling (which is 'vapour') it didn't come up within the first few pages of results. I suppose I could keep searching with that version of the keyword but there's a lot of pages to get through.

Ive no idea how to switch regions (or what region I'm currently set to) but I just did a test. I searched for three of my photos and I found them without any issues.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll find it at the left of the black bar.

I just tried to search for "Beirut" (the capital city of Lebanon) in videos, using US as a region: 1583 results. Switching to Lebanon as a region: 5 results!
So, imagine that: if you are logging AS from Lebanon as a region you will find 5 videos for your own capital, while if you login from US you will find 1583 results!

Ah I see it on the contributor site but not the page that customers would search for stock imagery.

I just did another search for one of my photos and there is no sign of it. There is one page of search results and it is not there. This particular photo has sold once on AS. At first, I searched by 'relevance.' Then I searched by 'downloads.' No luck. By the way, this particular photo was taken in Spain and I am based in Australia.
