Anyone see it yet?

Awful. Yet another change for the sake of pissing off contributors.

I saw it yesterday for the first time. Last week someone else saw it but I still saw the old one.

I noted that it does not remember your prior selections for check boxes of which licenses you will offer. So Sell the rights is always checked, meaning I have to remember to uncheck it each time.

It's also less functional in that you have to wait until it generates the thumbnail to be able to submit - previously you could complete the submission while it showed a small icon in place of the not-yet-generated thumbnail image. Clogs up the workflow IMO

The only improvement I can see - and it's largely unimportant because categories are largely meaningless - is that they've done away with the massively long list of categories and sub-categories in one drop down list so you can pick the major category and select the subcategory from a second drop down. Unless their automatic selection has done something completely insane, I just leave their choices alone.

Perhaps they needed a project to give to an intern? :)

My number one complaint is that the text in the description transfers to the keywords and number two was that it defaults to RF. Before, if I had a batch of editorials, I could click the correct button and it would stay where I want until I change it. I don't have time to go through the keywords AND make sure their AI clicks the correct categories.

My issues with new submission form introduced February 2023:

1. Terribly slow work on Uploads list. Only 10 uploads visible per page, changing page takes exactly 10 seconds for me.
2. Terribly slow load time after I click any image. It takes 9-12 seconds after I submit an image, for a new image to appear.
3. One could try to circumvent this by opening all images in fresh tabs, but new form doesn't remember your previous selection at all. So you lose your choice of licenses, Commercial/Editorial selection etc...
4. The submission form is even bigger than it was before, so I have to scroll down to find the Submit button.

I sent a cranky eMail - here's the reply:

90% of the uploads to Dreamstime are Commercial RF so it makes sense to have that as the default; you simply click on Editorial if the image is Editorial.  When in Unfinished Files, simply turn off Autofill keywords and no keywords will be added from the title and description of the image.

is there a bulk-attach for a model release and why does the description needs to be different then title. annoying

i never checked editorial since DT automatically moves them to editorial if it decides they are - that's much better since each agency  as different rules - eg SS rejects if there are people in the far bkgd, while AS often accepts those.

Any changes at agencies are always fundamentally viewed negatively.
For my workflow, I see no real advantages, but also no disadvantages worth mentioning.

And at least you received a targeted answer, which is not a matter of course with agencies.

Awful. Yet another change for the sake of pissing off contributors.

They never implemented a system to assign releases to multiple files in a group. Never! And we've certainly all asked them a million times.

Of course a nerd has a chance, but as a nerd he or she quickly realizes that this is hogwash: the release must already be there and it must be referenced with an INTERNAL Dreamstime code, not with its own file name.

The simplest thing would be simply to use OUR filename and that if the release is loaded multiple times with a fingerprint-like code check (hash md5, crc, sha ... any one) you consider that it already exists and ignore it, without blocking the workflow.

But let's drop something like this: now on the main page you can copy data. But ALL of it! Obviously you will want to copy a selection of it. Is this possible? Of course! only from ONE file to ANOTHER file. Not from one to many.

The most obvious and stupid thing that everyone would like to do, which is to set one or more MR or PR releases to multiple files ... cannot be done even though we have been asking them to do it for TEN HELL OF YEARS.

Otherwise everything is beautiful.

If this was my first time ever uploading to DT, the new interface wouldnt bother me, but its definitely slower than the old system and I dont like that it rechecks boxes that it used to leave however youd set them before.

Can anyone show a screenshot? For me the submission page already changed like 3 months ago - Actually it already did over a year ago, but then was changed back to the old one a few days later - and I just want to know whether we are talking about the same thing or whether there is yet another update.
If it's the same: I got used to it pretty quickly. The only thing that annoys me is that when you go through each image one by one it always sorts newest to oldest, so I have to go back to the submission overview and select the oldest instead of the newest. Maybe that's just me, because I am kind of peculiar about the order in which I upload images.

I like the changes, especially choosing categories is much easier.

Ah, thanks, yes that's the same design I already had for months. It's not so bad really and chosing categotries is indeed faster.

Nothing has changed! This is only a make up... same code, new look.

I have 3000+ files just sitting there in the "Unfinished Files" for a long time. I have no desire nor time to edit them one by one in the slowest submission procedure among all stock agencies.

What's new is they did send an email two days ago:
"...It's been a while since your last upload and designers looking at your portfolio want to see more.
Ready to resume uploads and get more sales?..."

Sorry, no bulk edit - no new uploads.  :(

Slow and slow and nonsense messages like "A minimum of 5 words is the least for a decent description in order to transmit your concept to the viewers. (4 provided)" where more than 5 words were submitted

It's fine. They also fixed an issue with additional formats failing to upload, which is nice.

There was a problem? I've been doing that all along, ftp or online, what did I miss? Maybe those EPS uploads are just JPGs?

Well it's not working for me. I uploaded 10 images this morning and only 6 submitted. One wouldn't let me add missing categories, so I deleted it and tried again - same problem. The remaining 3 are in a loop of saying they've been submitted, but then turning up again as unsubmitted, and I've tried 3 times over. I've even deleted them and uploaded them again - same problem.

Seems that over the years, people have had similar issues, seems to be at random. Late last year the Unfinished files started showing up faster. Before that, I'd upload and go away and they could take up to an hour. Then refreshing the page started to make them show faster. Now I upload, and click and they are there, ready to be edited and submitted.

I don't know if it matters, my access or Firefox or if they fixed their system last Fall?

This upload process is a disaster.  I just did a simple 20 image upload.  Half the images their system didn't pull in the metadata.  Some where it did pull in the metadata won't accept a submit unless All of the "sell rights", "Web Use" etc are checked.  I submitted four images with these checked and it accepted them. Those where I unchecked will not submit.

What a monstrosity.  Don't really understand the need to change it when there seems to be no need.

YES.  And your post was 2-3 weeks ago and DT still hasn't fixed the issue.

Is this a browser issue? I just uploaded some photos and then an EPS with a JPG and the system recognized it as an additional with the same name, I didn't have to do anything. All metadata was read properly. They auto entered the Category. All boxes were checked as they always are, no I don't wish to donate as free if something is rejected.

That's online upload not ftp, and using Firefox.

I used Safari like I always do.
