DT  would be such a great site if only their search was better.

I'd agree __ DT's default search results are frequently hopeless. When similar searches are compared on each of the 4 largest agencies the results at DT are almost invariably the worse, most especially because they are less diverse with series from the same artist being ridiculously stuck together within the results.

I've tried a few basic searches for 'business meeting desk', 'mushroom omelet' and 'toddler laughing'. The results on DT range from fair to positively embarrassing. Why they can't recognise the issue and get it sorted is beyond me. It must irritate busy customers no end.

Funny because I think they have a good search function - as a buyer I find DT and IS have by far the best.

I also think they are one of the best with the exception that too many shots from the same photographer (similars)  are shown in a row.

No seriously though, Ive never figured out why DT insist on putting out entire series in search, I mean you can sometimes see 10 or 20 shots, almost identical taking up an entire page and I wouldnt mind but often the series are just mediocre shots and with hardly any DLs at all.
I recon they simply let the search-engine run itself hoping for the best, either that or they simply dont have the know-how regarding searches?

This is ironic because the biggest rejection is to discourage similars. Unless this is reviewers and new editors double standard?

I'm having an extra poor month, but now that August is more than half done I can see that my sub sales appear stable, its the PPD's that have stopped.  I've had no less than 6 "20% off" sale emails from them too.

Has been a little slow in recent weeks which would be normal at this time of year.

But overall, I cant complain.

I'm a buyer as well as a contributor, and I prefer using the DT search engine to any of the others.    And my sales just keep going up (more downloads as well as higher $ per sale as more images advance in tiers).

Hey I love DT.

I have 180 pics on DT. I am not very good... but my sales are going up all the time. Then again I do have a secret formula.
