I missed that one.  Not a problem for me, as I produce very few images a week.

There is a limit to the number of images submitted per day. The max. number will be raised to 150 submissions.
- Users with an approval percentage higher than 80%can upload the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature. This applies for the first 50 submissions if you're a new photographer.
- Users with an approval percentage of between 50-80% can upload a fifth of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature.
- Users with an approval percentage of between 30-50% can upload a tenth of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature.
- Users with an approval percentage of between 0-30% can upload thirty times less of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature. FTP is disabled for users with more than 250 images online and below 30% approval ratio.

In summary:
AR > 80% -> 150 images/day
AR between 50-80% -> 30 images/day
AR between 30-50% -> 15 images/day
AR< 30% -> 5 images/day

I wished they considered last 6 or 12 months.  My total average is 70%.  But as I said, in the end this doesn't make a difference in uploads - but it does in ranking, right?  That's my concern.

So can I. But I think I never would... If I were to take and postprocess so many pictures a day, I would have to give up my regular job and all the other activities... Which of you is able to produce so many pictures?

Hi Peep,

 There are some that do it. But it doesn't mean they are any happier than you. ;)

Just used ftp and sent in a batch. My limit is 8 files right now, but I don't have a clue why. At least I got all of them up on the site and can process more every 24 hours, if I read it right?

Problem is I disabled all the files except one, then after a month, enabled all my photos again. Could be I just killed myself.  ;D

Average (*)       - 33.9%

Since it only allows me to process 8 files, and the site says this "Users with an approval percentage of between 30-50% can upload the tenth part of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature." would I be wrong to assume that the current upload limit for someone who's not a klutz, is 80 files?

If any of these get rejected, I'm in some deep, ah, soup?  ::)

Either that, or maybe I'll remember why I made all the photos inactive in the first place. Getting old, I may need to write myself a note.  ;)

i think the current max is 75 files.  So 10% is 7.5 or 8 files.

In summary:
AR > 80% -> 75 images/day
AR between 50-80% -> 15 images/day
AR between 30-50% -> 8 images/day
AR< 30% -> 1-2?? images/day

I do not see my acceptance rate on my profile anymore. When I click on upload images, It says that my acceptance rate is 100% and that I can upload up to 75 images per day. I know it wasn't like this before, and I even once encountered the 15 file daily limit when i tried uploading 16 images at once. Is this just a glitch ?

If you upload the max or nearly the max do they review them all at once?  I don't upload much - 2 or 3 a week at most - but it takes them a full week or more to get to them for review.  They are by far my slowest reviewing site.  Is it just that I don't uploade enough?

Yeah, it was a glitch. I can see my acceptance rate again, and my daily upload limit has gone back to 15.

No. Last week I uploaded a batch of 10 every day. I still have 40 in the queue, and they get reviewed in the same batches as uploaded. Very slow indeed. I don't like to upload large batches. If you run into the wrong reviewer, you're out. Dreamstime has very consistent reviewers but in Shutterstock this is a real danger. There are some wild card reviewers there lately.

Thanks for the information.  Certainly agree with the SS situation.  I agree that DT is the most consistent in their reviews but I really hate the waits.

DT changes this info every so often but usually allows me unlimited uploads... right now I'm at 75 as well but one night I pushed about 300.  lol

Makes sense. DT has a way of doing some pretty logical things, in a good way. Unlike some other sites where you have to wait a week, I was able to ftp the whole batch and then I can edit eight a day, and put them into the review process. I created that percentage of rejections, not them. Fine with me.

If this batch gets rejected for "we have too many like this" I can go back and remove all my photos again, but the clock started counting again at Jan. 2009.  ;D Still don't remember why I made them all inactive in the first place? Something in November, but that was last year.  ;)

I can't find my average but it must not be very good. When I mouse over the upload link it tells me I can only upload 8 images a day. I'm not that worried about it though, I think I'm only averaging about 8 a week right now.

When you are logged in, there's a tab for "Management" click that, and look in the lower right "Statistics" it's in red under the line graphs. Shows uploads, accepted and rejected and on the right, your percentage.

The Management tab has all kinds of goodies under it.

Interesting. According to that my average is 49.2. I wonder why I can still only upload 8. I did know to find my earnings numbers in statistics I just didn't think to look at the other graphs for my average.

It's right above this, but maybe you didn't see it.  ;D

I'm 100% for January, because I'm not longer sending risky images to them which usually fail for, not suitable as stock, or too many like this. Normally quality and lighting are not a problem.

For some reason, I'm able to verify 10 files a day with a 50-80% AR. No big deal, I'm happy.

  This has changed again. Why? My AR is 80.6%... so I can only upload 50 images per day.

  *   Users with an approval percentage higher than 80% can upload the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature. This applies for the first 50 submissions if you're a new photographer.

    * Users with an approval percentage of between 30-50% can upload the tenth part of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature.
    * Users with an approval percentage of between 0-30% can upload the 30th part of the maximum amount of images and can use the FTP feature. FTP is disabled for users with more than 250 images online and below 30% approval ratio.

They're trying to get the queue down and to stop people from uploading any old rubbish which wastes their time.  I really agree with them on this one.   If you have a good acceptance  rate then 50 a day is more than enough for anybody and people need to realize that they can't just keep putting any old snapshots up.

I think too that 50 / day is a reasonable amount. I don't understand why anyone (except large producers like yuri or andres) would want more than this.

I could never possibly upload 150 a day, but it's still the principal of the thing for me. My acceptance ration has been hovering for months between 79.5 and 79.9.  Arrgh!

If someone has a 80-99% then what is the big deal how much they are uploading?  Then obviously they are not uploading snapshots.
When I upload, I do them in big bulk and hate to spend days doing it. That drives me nuts to spend several days to a week uploading just to one site when I have  quite a few to upload to and don't want to count them out trying to remember who takes how many per day. I am going senile.. I don't need more numbers to keep in my brain. That just means I have to forget one more thing to remember one more thing.

What's to remember?  I just upload everything via FTP.  I haven't hit a limit on FTP, just on submission.  So once the FTP is done, I keep submitting until it tells me I have to stop.  Computers are good at numbers, so I don't have to bother...
