I sent Depositphotos my portfolio of ~1600 images via their "High volume" contributor service. A few days ago, I tried logging in to check my earnings (I'd already received one payout, after I got 3 high value sales within days of the first images going online). I immediately got the error that my account has been "blocked" and to contact support. I did, marking the request "high" priority.

That was Thursday... no reply since, and my account is still blocked!

Has this happened to anyone else? What was the cause?

Best is to contact them and wait for a response....which I assume you've already done.  Could just be a glitch, could be that you stole all of Luis's images and they blocked you.... ;D ;D ;D I am, of course, Just kidding.

I already contacted them, yeah. I haven't had any response after two days, which makes me a bit concerned.

Are your images still for sale or has your portfolio "disappeared"?

If your images are still for sale, perhaps the block is automatic to prevent fraud based on the large sales, and perhaps the lack of contact is that it's still a holiday in many European countries - back on Monday. I don't sell there, so I don't have any personal experience, but it's possible it's nothing to worry about.

I just checked, and I can't find any of my photos on sale. DepositPhotos is out of Florida last I checked, though it's true I don't know whether any Russian holidays might affect staff there.

Still not a peep from DepositPhotos.

I suppose the Florida connection should have been enough of a red flag. Glad I let their people handle getting the photos online instead of having wasted my own time.

Still no word from DP about my blocked my account -- and that includes whatever earnings I had there since my last withdrawal.

Hi all new to this forum, but was wondering if this problem ever got solved, I had basically the same thing happen to me earlier this month, one file had 3 EL sales a couple of days after uploading and then the next thing i know my login was blocked.
Finally got a reply saying my account has been detected as being a participant in fraudulent activities and has been terminated.
what does that mean?
Every file I uploaded was 100% mine, still got the original RAWs to prove it, so I can only think that someone tried to buy using dodgy payment and they somehow decide its my fault.
Really pissed off with this.

And if i remember correctly, it was discussed in this forum that the FL address is just a po box. If you want to research that, search on this board. I was thinking someone ran a whois and got the address or something.

Update on my problems, just had another email saying that they accept that I am cleared of fraud and they have agreed to reinstate my account but will be monitoring it closely for suspicious activity.
Not sure whether to be happy or not

Glad it worked out.
With the amount of scammers online I don't blame the sites for being careful.  Someone uploads an images, buys it themselves with a stolen credit card from another account and withdraws the money from the first account.  You can't blame them for wanting to stop actions like this.

I dont have a problem with them being careful its just the lack of correspondence, not even an email in the first week to say there was a problem. Makes me wonder about the default position they originally took though, closing my account, if I hadn't kicked up a fuss.
Sense has prevailed in the end though.

Depositphotos has one of the worst contributor support among all!.. Contact them and pray for a response every night before you go to bed.. That's how it works.
