I just ordered a D800 and Nikon 28-300mm to compare against my 5DMII and other Canon stuff. I'll probably pick up a 50mm f/1.4 also.

None of the manufacturers seem to have one system that is best. So now I'll have Nikon, Canon and Sony.

I scored a great deal (for Australia at least) and got a D800, a 24-70 2.8 and a 32GB Sandisk extreme card just the other day.

So far, VERY happy with it and looking forward to putting it through its paces properly over the next few months. :)

maattte, if you're ever in Brissy pop round and let me have a go?  :D I'm keen for an upgrade this year and though I love the size of it (currently have D700) i'm unsure the extra $$ are worth it over the D4.
